Erotica + Bedtime Stories for the win!

Oh God but Vogue... Ray of Light ... Frozen.

Mh, I think 90s Madonna is my fav.

Erotica is one of the most legendary eras of all time I fear :jonny:

Erotica > Bedtime > Breathless

Erotica is the best from the 90s, the best of all from any time, anybody, EVER.

Erotica is quintessential Madonna PERIOD. I don't think people realize how "Madonna" the album is. I love that she combined the sounds of her two smashes from the previous year (Vogue, Justify My Love) and morphed them into an album. Add the legendary Sex Book and it clears. I just don't like the album cover but I've seen somewhere online that she wanted a different picture and her label rejected it, does anybody know which one?

Damn it hurts seeing what she pulled in the 90's vs now.

People age. Art doesn't.

While ROL remains her absolute masterpiece, each one of those albums remains interesting to listen.

I enjoy more I'm Breathless than any other album she has released since Hard Candy. I wish she could make another project like without any vocal treatment and classic instrumentals. After 2 decades of cheap techno pop music it would be like fresh air.

Bedtime Stories > Erotica > Ray of Light

The Immaculate Collection, Erotica, Ray of Light and Bedtime Stories are quintessential M albums that everyone should have in their collection.

All of them are fantastic in their own way, but Ray of Light will win for sure.

Ray Of Light wins for me, but I absolutely adore Erotica and the underrated Something To Remember as well. Bedtime Stories is good too, but I never got into it like I did with the others.

There's no wrong answer here.

I'm Breathless à deux has a special place in my heart.

ROL or Bedtime Stories for me but I also think Something to Remember is quite underrated, I love Madonna's ballads

I think what really defines 90's Madonna is the years from 1990 to 1993 with Vogue, the BAT, the Erotica album and the GST

Do you consider Vogue as Madonna's quintessential single in the 90's?

Yes, even if it's at the very beginning of that decade, Vogue is so epic it outshines everything else
