Has Katy starred in a movie that reached #1 not only in the US but worldwide too? Has Katy ever had a Stadium Tour? Who released a more critically acclaimed album this year, Gaga or Katy? Has Katy reached 100M monthly listeners on Spotify? Who's getting more daily streams, Gaga or Katy? And if we remove DWAS, who's getting more daily streams? THIS. End this stupid thread 1
Donquizote Posted October 6 Posted October 6 One is a 13x Grammy winner while another is Kid Choice Award's winner. Let that sink
l3disko Posted October 6 Posted October 6 On the same boat? Gaga is sitting pretty on her yacht while Katy is a bloated corpse at the bottom of the ocean. 2
Capris Groove Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Yes but Gaga is the sea captain and Katy's going around the third deck asking if anyone needs fresh linens. 6
Rama Posted October 6 Posted October 6 (edited) The way Kats' narrative went from Katy is not a flop to Gaga is just as much of a flop as Katy Edited October 7 by Rama 3
Archetype Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Katy wishes she could have Gaga's current flops, let's be real. 1
JennyWayne Posted October 6 Posted October 6 12 minutes ago, Rama said: The way Kat's narrative went from Katy is not a flop to Gaga is just as much of a flop as Katy They use "Katy's and Gaga's career are in a similar state right now" as an insult towards Gaga That very much tells you they're not in a similar state at all 2
Raf Simons Posted October 6 Posted October 6 If the reason for said comparison is Gaga's presence in a movie while the other one can't even make a dent in music (let alone Hollywood), there we already have the answer
ericcartman Posted October 6 Posted October 6 The fact that Katy's own fans say it as an Insult to Gaga to get under the monsters skin says it all
PoisonPill Posted October 6 Posted October 6 With a bold hypothesis like that, I would've expected to you actually pose an argument with data and facts. You can't be a troll and lazy, like pick a struggle.
AvadaKedavra Posted October 7 Posted October 7 (edited) Rihanna flopped with Lift Me Up and Kesha is just done commercially wise katy and gaga the embarrassment of the decade too The electropop girls are definitely over they were a product of their time tbh. Im jumping ship. R.I.P Girlies. It was good while it lasted. Lemme move to successful pop girlies from the past like Shakira,Beyonce and Taylor Swift In this house we only stan trendy artists with tons of streams Edited October 7 by AvadaKedavra 1 1 1 4
TipToe Posted October 7 Posted October 7 So do you expect LG7 to almost miss the Billboard 200 Top 10 too? Let's wait and see, lol.
Jacobdaniel Posted October 7 Posted October 7 sure, let's see katy release a jazz album like harlequin and see how she does
bielneira Posted October 7 Posted October 7 Why are y'all treating this "companion album" as something big? Barely no orginal songs, almost a soundtrack, and zero promotion besides the movie itself. I mean... what were you expecting exactly?
LostInStereo100 Posted October 7 Posted October 7 I may be biased cause I've always been a Gaga Stan. But I think the way Gaga always stays relevant is because of her talent and respect of music. She is adored for her voice and talent which is why she sees massive success with ballad type songs. I'll always remember us this way for example will be at 2B before you know it Die with a Smile will likely be at 3B before you know it. Her catalog is popping off on Spotify and she always gets boosts around Pride in June, October for Halloween and her music surprisingly gets massive boosts around NYE. Katy had a ton of massive hits, but she isn't respected as a musician in the way Gaga is. People do not take her seriously. It is what it is. Now that they are both at or pushing 40, it's no surprise that Gaga is able to still be on hits and gather a ton of streams. She is able to bring chemistry into her music
loveisdead9582 Posted October 7 Posted October 7 Gaga is probably enjoying having a number #1 single and movie while Katy is enjoying the award that her team bought for her and hasn't enjoyed a number one song since dark horse in February of 2014. No. They are not the same.
SharGaga Posted October 7 Posted October 7 LG7 lead in 18 days or less. Buckle up OGH! Time is running out!
Planet Mars Posted October 7 Posted October 7 Obviously not, I think we're all just ragging on Gaga currently because of some contempt towards Monsters, but realistically I'm sure we all know her next album will be far more successful than 143.
Sannie Posted October 7 Posted October 7 Gaga: #1 Movie #1 song 100,000,000 Spotify listeners Katy: Perry 1

CoolNebraskaGuy Posted October 7 Posted October 7 (edited) The titanic analogy is pretty on point lmao Only if Gaga is in first class and gets on a lifeboat, and Katy is shoveling coal in the engine rooms Edited October 7 by CoolNebraskaGuy
