And what percentage of them bothered to listen to the album? :gaycat4:

The album you mention about is not her solo studio album, it's a side project along with the movie. There is difference isn't there? And you asked about interest in her solo work that's why I answered - 100mln monthly listeners…

Half of those are because of DWAS, which is NOT a solo song.

Yet it's still her song and it's number 1. Deal with it.

It went from being her the gift to her Live at Wembley

I asked what % of those 100 million listeners actually bothered to click on the notification that GaGa released a new studio album. :coffee2:

Why do you answer like a politician. You could have kept quiet.

It's Bruno's song and he asked her to be on it.

Only time will tell, but let's ask the certified gaga experts (same people who post in every thread with this theme)...

@Femininomenon@Assassin @AcidPrince @Blue Monday@KatyPrismSpirit what do you think?

It's so funny you guys can dish it out but can't take it. Anyway, my official thoughts since you asked xx

Does it matter? Wait for her seventh studio album and then we can talk about the % of those. Cause are you even surprised people don't like jazz music? To me it's obvious those listeners aren't streaming harlequin but her whole catalogue. 100mln is 100 mln.

Yeah, that's why collabs work I guess? It's their song. And dwas is bigger than any Bruno's solo hit.

I don't think any of us would be this defensive had this been an official studio album with original songs and music video and major promo. I think most of us would've agreed it was a bomb. But this whole conversation is so unfair.

1. It compares the performance of studio albums to a non-studio album.

2. It totally ignores the factuality that it's an album with 11 out of 13 songs being well-known covers that have been done millions times before.

3. It is being compared to regular studio albums that had months of build-up with official singles sent to radio and music videos.

4. It is largely composed of jazz and showtunes, genres that are simply not popular anymore.

5. Going by OGHs excuse for ASIB, it is also tied to a movie that's bombing.

Those aren't just weak excuses. They are definitive and strong. This is not LG7.

actually it's not.

Locked Out of Heaven was #1 for 6 weeks and Grenade for 4 weeks. Both certified diamond.

That's the Way You Are was #1 for 4 weeks and certified 13 Platinum.
When I Was Your Man was #1 for week and certified 11x Platinum

His most recent solo #1 is That's What I Like which is also certified diamond.

When was the last time Gaga had a solo #1? That's right during Obama's first administration.

StarTreck was a flop. That that ballad got drowned by her catalog.

Born Again got overshadowed by Lift Me Up.

Meanwhile, Top Gun Maverick was a SMASH hit yet Hold My Hand still flopped. :fan:
But the OneRepublic single from the same soundtrack smashed.

I wonder why that was.

Hold My Oscar Nomination did way better than other girls' soundtracks to hit movies though (Ariana Grande for Beauty and the Beast, Rihanna for Black Panther).

Why would one of the biggest hitmakers according to half this forum ask Lady Gaga - a flop, has been - to be on this new song of his?

And that's absolutely true, who isn't say so? Facts are facts.

But it's a fact that DWAS is being the smash cause it's genuinely a great song. And yes, it's thanks to Bruno, AND to Gaga. And there are many points that prove so, don't know why you are avoiding them

Nah it's a success because of Bruno. Had it flopped tho?! It would've ALL been because of Gaga.
