It depends. Technically Katy, but she already struggled with Smile so I don't think this was a surprise. 
 

Gaga's acting career was super strong so the Joker megaflop was really surprising IMO.

No one expected anything from already certified flops like JLo and Katy. Gaga on the other hand jumped on 1b grossing acclaimed movie and it was supposed to be slam dunk but it ended up being the biggest debacle of the year and comic movies EVER.

It was Lady Gaga's movie when she was starring in the most-anticipated movie of the year! A big-budget sequel to a billion-dollar grossing movie. Now that it's the biggest bomb since Hiroshima she has nothing to do with it. Truly Schrödinger's FAD!

Katy is only hated by stans, honestly most people don't care about her

 

Gaga is not hated, the movie is, she has a global hit and the album is invisible to 99% of people.

I mean, they clearly used Gaga's image as a big promotion tool because she's Gaga. But the person I was quoting somehow implied that she's somewhat responsible for the big losses of the movie and I don't think that's accurate. This is not HER project, she was just part of someone else's project.

 

That's why I don't think this should be compared to JLo's or Katy's projects. You guys can bring up Harlequin instead.
