If I were Taylor I'd announce REP TV for November, Debut in February/March and new album in late 2025.

 

To be honest I'm not sure what the interest in Debut TV will be like.  If I were her I'd release Rep TV and Debut TV simultaneously so people can buy both together, do bundles of both together so that basically Debut does well thanks to Rep unless of course debut vault tracks will be star studded.

Taylor Swift is not taking a break for any man.  She'll release the 2 remaining re-recordings + TS12 and then disappear to plan her comeback with TS13.  That album has been expected and theorised for so long, and it will mean a lot to her and fans alike, and something tells me she'll go all out à la 1989.

I am over the Taylor's Versions and all of the hoopla around music that has already been out for 8+ years except for a couple of unreleased songs and bonus tracks. Just get the last 2 over with! I would really hope those are released before any more new music. She has already released so much new music since 2020.

imo, she should write more about familial trauma or the state of world right now or maybe even some nice storytelling à la Dorothea or Betty! i could even see her writing about some historical event or a natural phenomenon or traveling or ghosts… i just really would love to see her expand her horizons again someday soon, i know she has it in her

The topics she sings about aren't the problem for me, it's the musicality/production of her songs that is the issue for me. Her production value on her songs has been so undercooked since 2020 onwards. They're way too minimalistic. The lyrics are there but where is the oomph factor. I don't want her to make a bunch of dance pop music or anything, certainly not, but it wouldn't hurt her to maybe add some new producers with new ideas for her music. she seems complicit in being kind of repetitive for the first time in her career.

Except for Folklore and Evermore, has she ever taken less than around 2 years between releases (new stuff not re recordings)? I know TTPD and Midgnights are not that far apart (around 18 months) but still no new album in 2023.

 

Anyway, I hope the music is more inspired.

I've seen Taylor is the only artist people whine about having the same producer (which she barely started doing 3 eras ago. Some of you do know that most huge artists back in the day had the same producer for most of their career right?

There's a difference between her Big Machine years and her Republic Records years. She can do whatever she wants right now. 

 

Big Machine = 6 albums in 12 years

Republic Records = 5 albums + 4 re-recording in 6 years

 

She probably worked on this album since October 2023, after she finished TTPD.

Wrong. She is reported to sold over 180 millions album so far. Madonna has 400 plus. She doesn`t sell 40 millions per year ww. And it`s inflatuated, she releases the same album with small variants 5, 6 or more per month, so it`s kind of cheating to have numbers. I like her music and she is a smart woman, but her discography compared to Madonna is very weak. Unfortunatelly she is reaching 40 and sexist society will put her away like they are doing to Katty Perry. But i think she will fight that.
