AOTY will 100 % go to Billie and everyone who knows the Grammy's understands that.

Least amount of co-writers + commercially succesful = AOTY winner unless your name is Jon Batiste.

Another AOTY thread, another Eternal Sunshine snub. That album is a gem and deserves more recognition.

I don't think Taylor will win AOTY, but…

The stats are definitely in her favor. Of the six times she's been nominated, she only lost twice. Those two times, the nominated album (Red, evermore) wasn't the best-selling album of the year in the US. Her four other winners held that title, just like TTPD does.

The Grammys in general just love that kind of traditional pop music, where the production draws from pre-90's sounds, the melodies are straight-forward, comfortable and catchy, and it leans slightly to the alternative side.

In the past 10 years, 7-8 of the winners fit that description. If the album then also is the most succesful album of the year, it's almost a shoe-in: 6 of those winners was literally the best-selling album of the year.

I think Sabrina or Billie are extremely likely contenders actually, but Taylor winning shouldn't surprise anyone.

Taylor won't win. Not because the Grammys are scared of backlash (voters dont care about that), but because the era is nowhere near as big as Midnights + US Eras Tour or 1989 and the album is panned for her standards.

Billie is the frontrunner by far and idk how any publication that has been covering the Grammys for years can doubt that. If anyone upsets (which is very unlikely atp) it will be an unknown industry darling

I think if Tayloe Swift wins again, the backlash will be too strong.

Y'all have said that every single time she won and it has not stopped her from being the only artist to win it four times
