RandomHooker Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Why would I worry about a soon to be billionaire flopping? Worry for yourselves. 2

Femininomenon Posted September 30 Posted September 30 With Chromatica Ball Film, Harlequin, Happy Mistake and JFAD flopping yes, I am worried about LG7 8
noodlelymph Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Chromatica was decent and I could see her surpassing it. Don't really give a **** about charts though as long as I can enjoy the album 2 1
Rihinvention Posted September 30 Posted September 30 (edited) I don't actually care about Gaga's chart performance. I won't be euphoric if it's a smash hit and I won't be euphoric if it flops into oblivion. But for my own personal taste, I don't like the snippets so far. It reminds me of ARTPOP, which I really don't like. Also stop with the Chromatica slander. That album is perfection. Edited September 30 by Rihinvention 4
terrorblade Posted September 30 Posted September 30 i'm just worried about the voice she's going to be using hopefully it's the airier one like the one she uses in happy mistake 1
SharGaga Posted September 30 Posted September 30 I'm not a success stan at all so I'm not worried about commercial success. I have faith in Gaga when she says she's making her best music. She doesn't make that kind of statement very often or at all. It's clear she's had struggles and has been distracted in the past according to her own words. I'm just glad she's back to her element. I haven't seen her this excited for new music since ARTPOP. In some ways I expect an elevated ARTPOP mixed with BTW. The wait is killing me! Hope she releases the week after Joker. These threads are getting tiring. 3
Infernal Paradise Posted September 30 Posted September 30 No because somehow she always stays here and I CAN and WILL stand it, and so will the OGHs. 3 1
babyforlife Posted September 30 Posted September 30 no, even Joanne did 200K first week. Gaga still have huge fanbase for her pop record..

FOCK Posted September 30 Posted September 30 (edited) She's kinda Christina Aguilera'd herself at this stage of her career, legacy act, cute for a throwback. Long waits between albums + radical genre hopping are usually a recipe for disaster in popdom. Who even is her audience anymore? Thee pop gays have charli. Thee jazzrassics have expired. Thee Star Is Born soccer mums are busy protesting immigrants & are now terfs. Thee show tunes gays did nothing for Lea Michele. Thee Nurtec users suffer from headaches and can't risk the audial-assault. Let's hope she can serve an underrated, "maybe too ahead of its time" masterpiece, like BIONIC. Acuminatus Posted September 30 Posted September 30 While it is fun to troll Liddos about Harlequin, It's not going to be a jazz album and will be full of original tracks, so she should be fine. I trust Gaga to not make bad enough music that it is a critical failure, and there is no prevailing negative public narrative about her either otherwise. I hope LG7 does better than Chromatica at least.

Yet she's having the #1 song worldwide, most-anticipated movie of the month, Top 10 Artist (Daily streams) and Top 5 Artist (monthly listeners). 4
