"A study from The BMJ indicates that the newest class of migraine drugs—which includes Pfizer's Nurtec, AbbVie's Ubrelvy and Eli Lilly's Reyvow—is less effective in the acute treatment of migraines than a previous class of medicines.

 

What's more, the newer drugs are no more effective in treating migraines than traditional headache remedies such as Tylenol, ibubrofen and aspirin, according to The BMJ's analysis."

According to drugs.com: "The cost for Nurtec ODT 75 mg oral tablet, disintegrating is around $1,061 for a supply of 8 tablets."

 

According to Walmart.com: A 100-pill box of Tylenol is $11.52, with 8 tablets costing $0.92.

I really don't think celebrities should endorse prescription drugs. It's self-inflicted. Imagine getting tricked by Lady Gaga into buying such an expensive medication when you could have bought something just as effective in the supermarket for 1/1000th of the cost.

It's not a first-line medication anyways. It might not be effective for treatment of acute migraines, but it can be used to prevent migraines
