Idk how big it is culturally. I've honestly never listened to it (also unintentionally). But has Shaboozey released an album? This seems to be a big smash and he has that momentum. It would be a waste of a huge hit. Or am i not aware of it? it's a gotye situation. people have zero interest beyond that one song...well he did get a song to #124 I guess
BowWow Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Boaf rising like this is proof MVs still had impact congrats shaboozy for being an organic hit, still topping streaming charts we love a genuinely popular track instead of payola "hit" that is flopping on streaming topping the charts 1
truthteller Posted September 29 Posted September 29 can interscope just lend billie an autopen or sth
TrieLz Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Abel will do something for a top 5 debut, especially when the points are close for a top 2-top 5 and Billie should do something this week if she want a Top 3 peak, drop some versions/remix will help for a top 3 peak. This is her only chances before she start freefall on Radio.

Her refusal to film a music video did a number on that song's chances for a higher peak.

Okay, IHSH has gone recurrent on Pop now. Now is the time for the above songs (maybe it's too late for GLB) to finally move above it and get a new peak. You can't blame radio anymore. If they can't even pass IHSH (which is not actively being promoted anymore and is 50 points behind ABS), then they really don't deserve to pass ABS.

Ger Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Mind you this is going #2 with a self-sabotage awful music video which makes fun of the song. Not even her being her worst enemy it's stopping BOAF to be successful. Slay! 2
wish Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Hopefully the music video + tour boost will be enough to get that Top 2 peak Also release some vinyls while you're at it!
Malkuth Posted October 1 Posted October 1 I think the Shaboozey song is actually really good. Those of you who haven't heard it should give it a listen. It's wild the monoculture is dead, but those are the times we live in. I haven't heard some of the massive hits this year either.
Kylizzle Posted October 1 Posted October 1 So many #2 peaks this era at least we also got to 2 Oscars. 3
pride4jc1222 Posted October 2 Posted October 2 A Bar Song to tie Old Town Road's record of 19 weeks at #1 on the Canadian Hot 100: 1
