bjorn Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Her collabs are a success but her solo projects are a big flop
modeblock Posted September 28 Posted September 28 She's not a flop, not even for MPG standards. Like someone else said, some of her recent projects may flop, but overall she's successful because her talent is diverse. She has a cute #1 rock ballad right now, a big comic book movie, and is teasing LG7, while engaged to a HUNK who loves her and loves her artistry. None of this is giving flop to me.
freshoutthebuffet Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Lady Gaga's worst day is more successful than most of these new pop artists best day. Far from a flop (even though that new "album" is basura) 1
P.O.P Posted September 28 Posted September 28 The last time she had a real solo hit, Obama was still in the office

Joker 2 is Joaquin's movie and he's the reason why the first movie grossed 1B. And Joker 2 will underperform and make less than the OG Joker. Harlequin is the real Gaga project and it's gonna flop hard. Doesn't matter. She is ON the song as a lead credit. She is in the movie and has a major role. Those are all Lady Gaga's projects. Therefore those are all her successes as well.
Alldeezy Posted September 29 Posted September 29 she's in the legend cover thing in Hawaii was Her, Michael Jackson and Elvis she def isn't a FLOP .. I remember getting a photo with all those look a likes I forgot what it was called sadly.
momal Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Of course not. Every artist has ups and downs, she will be fine.
Sad Beautiful Tragic Posted September 29 Posted September 29 She's not a flop, but she's definitely gone through a significant commercial decline - some might even call it one of the most dramatic declines ever.
DiabeticGrandpa Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Gaga, Katy and Kesha are on the same boat. They're 10's fads. We just need to enjoy their music and stop focusing on numbers 1

Weld_E Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Well Monsters have dragged other artists for those chart performances and have deemed them flops, so by their standards, yes she is a flop who barely outdid Katys last album. 1
TipToe Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Not a flop but not exactly the success magnet and geepee fave that liddos make you think she is. We're heading into the mid 20's, it's okay to admit her starpower is not the same as it was in 15 years ago.
Shelter Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Her last hits were carried by artists bigger on streaming than her. Her new album is tanking, no collabs on that. The next single/album will be interesting.
hawx23 Posted September 29 Posted September 29 OGH's standards for Gaga are truly high where being in a duet (or a lead or a feature, however you want to spin it) in the biggest song in the world, a movie coming out, a Vogue cover, and a jazz debut all within 2 weeks is still a flop for them.
Erreur2 La Nature Posted September 29 Posted September 29 (edited) Lady Gaga's career has been in a strange position for a long time now. While she has never truly bombed in a way artists like Christina Aguilera or Katy Perry have, all of her studio albums post-BTW can be considered as underperformances. Most of us thought her career would be done a decade ago and despite that, she managed to change her image and be successful again with the ASIB movie/soundtrack. I would not call her a flop, that's clearly an exaggeration but what is obvious is that her own projects never really hit the gp. The only times she is getting a hit is when she's doing collaborations. To me, it shows that the public does not necessarily cares about her music but they acknowledge her talent and are willing to listen to her when she's brought up with someone else on a song, kinda like what was happening with Aguilera in the early 10's: they were not paying attention to her music but the collaborations with Maroon 5, Pitbull, AGBW performed more than great. Démodé Posted September 29 Posted September 29 For now, she remains interesting and kinda relevant for her every next move. But everytime, all moves she eventually does (musically), age like milk (Chromatica). She is not a flop in GP standards, she just does not posess the starpower she had up to - maybe - 2016 (before Flopanned)
Mokichi Posted September 29 Posted September 29 The constant need for validation of Monsters need to be studied
thinking Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Panned movie, panned album, lead single that will most likely be panned I'd say yes!
king_queen Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Nope. She's actually a legend. She could sell 1 copy per project for the rest of her life and that still wouldn't change that fact. I just wish the monsters realized this…
Devin Posted October 4 Posted October 4 no, she needs more stellar albums and flex her vocals/expertise more in rock.
