eclipsed Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Obviously not. Even if Harlequin did L4S streams she still wouldn't be a flop. Its a movie companion album full of broadway and jazz covers. Soundtracks don't really do well at all so this making any noise is a win and on top of that she announced it 2 days before its release. I don't even think they're selling physicals in stores in the US. This is clearly a passion project for her, shes an artist let her be an artist she doesn't always have to create to just fufill the gp. I'm not expecting it to pull Chromatica numbers and neither should you. If LG7 debuted with L4S streams for example then maybe you can have a conversation about her being a flop 1
Pop Fan Posted September 28 Posted September 28 She's great for a feature but her solo career has been lowkey flopping since Obama's presidency. Harlequin will be yet another flop album for her. LG7 won't outsell or outstream Chromatica. It'll be relevant for a month and then free fall down the charts. 1 1
genio Posted September 28 Posted September 28 She currently has a huge global #1 that is pulling 10m+ streams on Spotify alone and a probably wildly successful movie coming out in a few days. The answer is clear.

The answer is clear. DWAS was written by Bruno. His solo version of DWAS without Gaga would be the same huge smash. Joker 2 is Joaquin's movie and he's the reason why the first movie grossed 1B. And Joker 2 will underperform and make less than the OG Joker. Harlequin is the real Gaga project and it's gonna flop hard. 1 1 1
Polgg48 Posted September 28 Posted September 28 album is grammy bait in case critic did fall for her gimmick but they saw it and move on, nice try
Last Boy on Earth Posted September 28 Posted September 28 (edited) aren't you little monsters in your 30s by now? Why are you still fighting back and forth with chat obsessed teenagers and crying over someone calling her a flop? Edited September 28 by Last Boy on Earth 1 1

LadyFlopga Posted September 28 Posted September 28 I wish i was flopping like Gaga in my life you ******* losers 2
Grizzo Posted September 28 Posted September 28 would a flop be invited to perform at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games? not to mention she has a huge hit on her hands with DWAS, so it's clear to me that Gaga is not a flop and is still very relevant to this day
Jay07 Posted September 28 Posted September 28 I don't know if it's a flop but Harlequin is a passion project borne out of a deep investment in her craft, both music and acting. For that reason alone, it is a success even if the only streams it gets is the one I give it. 1
bjorn Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Shes not on the level of let's say Taylor, Beyonce. But not at lows either like Katy. She's someone in the MID. 1

Most people here ARE in their 30s, not just Gaga fans. It's literally people in their 30s bickering back and forth about artists they stan/hate. Nothing new here so get off your high horse. Pop Fan Posted September 28 Posted September 28 I wouldn't say her album and song chart performance make her a "flop". I think that "radical tankery" is more fitting and a better way to describe what is going on with her career.
Mrnoniee Posted September 28 Posted September 28 @PerfectCure TRUST me when I say this, gaga DOES NOT even know you exist. she is flopping or not, she still has MILLIONS and will keep making MILLIONS while you on the other hand, let me just keep it cute. So stop worrying about what the gays on ATRL are saying. live life, enjoy the music, its all just harmless fun and you will forget about the posts two months from now on it has always been like that. Don't stress it.
ericcartman Posted September 28 Posted September 28 This is so dumb. Gaga like most artists hits and flops. This is a flop, just accept it and move on. ATRL goes in on anyone that flops and you guys have no problem joining in on that. So you gotta take it when your fave flops. Don't like it then delete your account

OrgVisual Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Happy Mistake N/A on Spotify 200 despite TTH and 75M playlist reach. It's the first Gaga's solo single in a few years. So very... interesting
