So what's the excuse now? Where are the monthly listeners? (after all LM made such a big deal when Gaga surpassed Taylor on that useless metric a few days ago)

The debut is heavily dependent to stans/fans and Most Liddos said NOPE

jazz is a dead genre that pretty much no one listens to. it's not the same.

Evermore is a country-pop album, with original songs with commercial appeal. It's a studio album.

 

Harlequin is a jazz album, with covers and only 2 original songs, with no commercial appeal. It's not a studio album.

The fact that you consider Evermore by Taylor Swift an alternative album tells us everything we need to know
