I never listen to unreleased music because it feels wrong, but I had to check out music by Gwen from her artistsic peak and I am shocked at how great all of these songs are

Are they all TWE outtakes?

I'm still in shock. I remember seeing those song titles for such a long time and seeing them? Now I'm missing Parental Advisory and Criminal!

Parental Advisory I think is the big miss on this batch because that's a song she mentioned a lot in interviews back then. I hope someone has it and leak it :jonny:

The 'Wind It Up' demo was already out, just titled 'The Original Neptune's Mix'

"Veintiuno" written and produced by J.D. Crutch
"Parental Advisory": produced by Rich Harrison who worked on Beyoncé Knowles' "Crazy in Love". The song pokes fun at dancers with moves better suited for strip clubs than dance clubs.

From a PopJustice post in September 2006. Will always be waiting for them to leak

The way she'll never make music like this again :dies:

I'm hopeful for Bouquet but damn I would kill for another album with these songs on it.

Is Candyland some kind of an iconic unreleased song of hers?

This has been up on YouTube for a million years and many of us have been thirsty for the real thing for 10+ years :weeps:

That YouTube version is just looped from a L.A.M.B. (the fashion line) show. Candyland was originally the working title for TSE and then somehow didn't make the final album.

I haven't lost all hope. No Doubt's Coachella set was incredible, like she never stopped performing with them. Some of the songs on Truth were still the unhinged pop I expect from her.

I don't what it will take, but she just needs some sort of... kick in the ass and confidence boost. She needs to stop getting nervous and scrapping pop albums :deadbanana: What we've heard of the reggae album actually sounds fun, but that Old Navy Slow Clap edit must've just totally embarrassed her :deadbanana2:

lbr, Pharrell decline happened after 2009 :rip:

yes. i like Pharrell's sound but i don't think he compliments women the same way some other producers are able to. for me Timbaland, Max, Jack, Stargate even will.i.am etc all work better with women.

"Boom (Getting Off)" and "Information" are by far the best of the bunch.

The fact that monstrosities like "Orange County Girl" and "Breaking Up" made it into The Sweet Escape when "Candyland" or "Sparkle" were right there. WTF Gwen?

The live version of this song is one of her best. I have no idea what happened with the studio version, but the lack of guitars in the second chorus-onwards ruin it.

Yes! I was at the Harajuku Lovers Tour! I was so obsessed with it live. The studio version was a disappointment.

the way her career could have been even bigger if only she wasn't so insecure to put music out. She has so many bops in her vault.

Boom is a bop but Fine by you is my favorite, it has that Cool.mp3 vibe :jamming:
