I mean, doesn't that always happen in interviews? They ban some topics :toofunny3:

I was told that the gp doesn't care about Luke?

Scorpios really love to attack and be aggressive in their bravado mode, but then retreat and play victim when things don't go their way :deadbanana2:

She needs to get more heavy lashings until she breaks and finally admits that like some person gossiped about, she was also abused by Dr Luke.

She was a victim all along, suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. Maybe* that will save her career.

The way I wouldn't even be mad if she lied about this to save face just so it puts a nail in the coffin to Luke's career. I don't support false allegations but the man raped two women that we know of (potentially even more), let him suffer even more :clap3:

Well yes, but when you ban questions about the album you are in another country to promote it's kind of...

Guess she missed the ship to Planet Unbothered.

She's promoting an album that was produced by the guy that's part of the list of topics she banned.

I mean I can't blame her for refusing to answer those questions with the predicament she put herself in that could've been easily prevented…

Well last time she got asked about him she answered in the worst way possible so I'm not surprised she wants to ban those questions.

She should stand by her choice tho. Stupid people make stupid mistakes.

DO YOU BOO!

Honestly, I can't understand how Katy thought working with Dr. Luke was ever a good idea. Like, did no one in her team see the backlash coming? From the controversies surrounding him to the media storm it was bound to cause, you'd think someone in the room would have said something, everyone probably just went along with it like, "Yasss queen"!

I mean, she chose to work with him, he's the main producer on her record, and now she wants to ban any questions about him? If you're going to make a choice like that, you have to be ready to stand by it and deal with the criticism that comes with it. It feels like she's trying to have it both ways, and it's not working.

This could've all been avoided if she'd just taken a step back and thought about the bigger picture. The decision to work with Dr. Luke isn't something you can just sweep under the rug and pretend like it didn't happen. Stans and media aren't going to ignore it, and banning questions only makes it look worse.

This just proves she's a bad person. Not even the F of a feminist. How can you claim empowerment and female solidarity while continuing to collaborate with someone like Luke? Shouldn't her PR team know better by now?

I truly don't understand how you as a public person would even let a situation like this happen, for you own good - for your own positive media mage.

She should have done a singer-songwriter album with Thinking of Yous and called it a day.

i know it's trendy to attack her for everything but all of you would have a meltdown if a journalist asks an awkward question to your faves. She's doing the correct thing here. She's trying to promote her latest work and tour. She doesn't need anyone trying to start some sh*t in the middle of it just for some trolls to take it out of context on twitter or get a headline.

Just to give you an example, in 2011, Gaga banned questions about Madonna and Elton John. It's a normal thing.

She has truly lost it. The two topics people actually want to hear you address and you won't do it…

I hope every media outlet asks her all the same. She can't just not address it forever.

Starting **** by asking for accountability or justification for working with an abuser? GaGa didn't have madonna nor Elton John producing the record she's promoting. It's literally not relative in the least.

She's gonna adress them few years from now when she has time to self-reflect on her past

I was about to say I know how it feels to be hated on but wait… I never willingly sought out someone to help me with my music who is widely known to have assaulted my ex friend so… nvm!

I don't have empathy for her, she literally brought this upon herself. and any little fluff comments I've seen on instagram/twitter/reddit that are like "everyone should tone down the hate" well I'm sorry but how could you be SO daft as to avoid someone as a producer for two records then think that the infamy of his horrible actions has subsided by now? so many of us are terminally online, for better or for worse, and right now it's for better. I'm not gonna call her the worst person alive but I am gonna say that she's been making some inexcusable, revolting choices. even if I wasn't also a Kesha stan and a survivor of sexual assault myself, I do believe I'd still be feeling this intensely about all of this

you know, I don't even know why I started this post this way. maybe I was gonna say something clever. maybe I was gonna say something nuanced. maybe it's because I've been in a good mood tonight cause my now former coworker who revealed himself last week to be—what do ya know!—a transphobe and a victim-blamer, didn't show up tonight for his last shift and i've been happy that i get to be alone in peace and quiet. but honestly now that I'm thinking about it I don't see why I'd ever really have sympathy here. she's a big celebrity, she couldn't have honestly not seen the backlash waiting in the wings unless she's that dull. and we've all been seeing in real time that she certainly must be :giraffe: so wow Katy. once again a stupid ass choice. what are they even gonna ask you interview questions about? your disgusting choices are what's bringing attention your way right now. you reap what you sow :tornado:

Maybe Katy Perry was just a social experiment on the highs and lows of a fading popstar

How did she, her label and her village worth of advisers and managers go through with releasing a FULL album of Dr Luke songs without having devised a PR strategy to promote it? :toofunny2:

Did they think no one would care or did they expect it would sell without her having to do a single interview? :toofunny2: This is one of the strangest pop disasters ever

Like, this decision must have been taken a year ago but throughout the whole recording, mixing, finalizing and rollout process of an entire comeback album, no one sat the sis down to rehearse anything better than "he was just one of many collaborators to help me express my vision from my own experiences of having a daughter and being a woman" or whatever she said on that podcast :toofunny2: Does everyone on her team hate her?

if she doesn't want to respond to questions about it, respect that. Period. She already talked about it and you didn't like her answer. Stop it and move on.
