If it feels like an artist is already creatively running on empty by their second or third song it's not going to motivate many people to check out their album. That said, Fantasy is solid enough. I think maybe Angel set my expectations a bit unrealistically high, but I'm still very much looking forward to listening to the album Edited October 25 by Sazare
tbhmatt Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Can't wait to get home and watch her live lounge performances!
tyt Posted October 25 Posted October 25 she chewed whatever that song is, my jaw dropped I need more arabic riff from her, it's hauntedly gorgeous also love fantasy live performance, very cheeky added lyrics especially before the second chorus drop, beautiful falsetto
musicman Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Vinyls have been delayed until the 22nd November Before the meltdowns I doubt they really would have made the impact people expected them to

tbhmatt Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Ok, so she DEVOURED her Live Lounge cover. It really did feel like she understood what live lounge is supposed to be. Reinventing a song to make it your own and doing the unexpected. The Arabic influences and lyric changes were a great addition, it still felt in keeping with the tone of her original releases too, so a great way to solidify her artistic style. I enjoyed it very much, would love to have it available on Spotify.
The Slayer Posted October 25 Posted October 25 (edited) Charted at 52, same as Perrie's recent single. 219 cds and 18 cassettes BUT this isn't all the physicals as I haven't received my CDs, cassettes or Vinyls! Wonder what the hold up is with the majority of the CDs and Cassettes. Annoying they've pushed the Vinyl back a month. Edited October 25 by The Slayer 3
WERKER Posted October 25 Posted October 25 18 cassettes! Think Jade is on Queen Rachel Lesters level 1
tbhmatt Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Down to #89 on Apple Music, not added to Hot Hits UK. A real shame, this deserved better. Its still such a good song, I'm getting a lot of replay value out of it.
katysuxx Posted October 26 Posted October 26 What a debut.. all three songs are amazing, she didn't come to play omg… Fantasy > Cow > Angel. I love em all though.

Frozen99 Posted October 26 Posted October 26 the live rendition was amazing, but BACKBONE, wow, those haunting vocals... we need it on spotify!
tbhmatt Posted October 26 Posted October 26 I can't believe this is going to flop in to oblivion, it deserved AT LEAST a top 40 peak. A pop injustice! 2

Apparently when you order all three formats, they ship it all together when vinyls are ready. So I hope they decide to ship those cds and cassettes now earlier with the vinyl delay to at least have another 18 cassette and 50 cd sales for this week
tbhmatt Posted October 26 Posted October 26 Not releasing "That's Showbiz, baby!" immediately after AOMD when it was going extremely viral does feel like a little bit of a misstep, in hindsight. People were foaming at the mouth for it when we first got that snippet. I do think that song will put her back on the right track and drum up more interest in a potential album, but I don't know if it will have quite the same impact it could have had if she'd released it earlier. I still think it needs to drop in November with an album announcement & pre order. This song is clearly going to do nothing for her commercially, so if she goes radio silent from now to January she's going to lose a lot of interest. 3
abra Posted October 26 Posted October 26 Yeah, I completely agree with all the above. It's like Addison following up on the Aquamarine snippet. On another note, I've been obsessed with her live performances. If these are the first ones, just imagine the rest. 2
