Starkboy Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Probably my least fave out of the three so far but hey she's truly at 3/3. This debut album is shaping up to be fantastic. she should book a Charli collab next
tbhmatt Posted October 18 Posted October 18 It's the subtlety of the song that really sells it, for me. It's subdued and sensual, a big noisy beat drop would have taken me out of the experience. I think they got the mood of the song spot on, it has excellent replay value. 5
Truth Teller Posted October 18 Posted October 18 This sounds like if Jessie Ware and Jungle came together in Beyonce's basement jail to write something for RENAISSANCE. The airy chorus. The harmonies. The simplicity that makes it timeless and replayable. The fact that it actually sounds cohesive with the other 2. Whew. 4
Truth Teller Posted October 18 Posted October 18 The video could have been a bit better and more eventful. She's serving as always, but Dave didn't really come through for her. I was even wondering if he really directed it until that happened towards the end. But I know the FUFN/Showbiz videos will destroy. This was probably a bit of a rush job 3
tbhmatt Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Partial day streams on Spotify significantly lower than AOMD, slightly higher than Midnight Cowboy Wouldn't expect anything much higher than 500k WW streams if even that, but there's always time to be proven wrong!
Irvine Posted October 18 Posted October 18 the end of the video was great the rest was pretty boring doesn't really sell the song to me 2
OrgVisual Posted October 18 Posted October 18 The video: 'I was like nahhhh what is this boring mess'. Then the Carrie thing kicks in 1
Mke1979 Posted October 18 Posted October 18 I like this, just don't love it. I love Angel of My Dreams and Midnight Cowboy better. JADE sounds like Janet Jackson on Fantasy!

This was probably a bit of a rush job I was thinking the same thing, she looked like a a goddess but it was a bit uneventful by Dave's standards and after AOMD and even after the video what was just a Visualizer. beautiful shots but no amazing choreos or plot lines for the first ⅓ of the song. still bopping tho I've never liked 80's influenced productions that much but this is still a neat song and I hope she pops off a few DJ remixes out of this just like AOMD
tbhmatt Posted October 18 Posted October 18 And to think that we will get our first live televised performance TOMORROW and then Live Lounge next week We just need a Graham Norton and Strictly spot to solidify the best possible promo run she could get
Blue. Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Really like this, ranking of the singles for me is: Angel Of My Dream You Go Your Way Midnight Cowboy Fantasy My Love Tears Stealing Love Forget About Us Don't Say Love

mrmarrero Posted October 18 Posted October 18 oh the video.... reminds me of Nicole- Poison with a budget director but wasnt good. this one is the same, a waste. 1

suburbannature Posted October 18 Posted October 18 This grower and I already liked it 1. AOMD 2. Fantasy 3. Midnight Cowboy shaping up to be the best mainstream pop album in a long time. 2
Digitalism Posted October 18 Posted October 18 I like this but I think the mix is weird. The vocals get lost in the instrumentals.

shark_heather Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Jade as Carrie is absolutely phenomenal , im so proud of her
shark_heather Posted October 18 Posted October 18 I wish we could get a live performance of her as Carrie on Halloween week SOMEHOW

But when you have trouble listening to vocals it stops being an stylistic choice and it becomes an error

tbhmatt Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Angel Of My Dreams in to Midnight Cowboy in to Fantasy in to That's Showbiz, baby! in to FUFN is sure to be a generational 1-2-3-4-5 punch of pop perfection. The album needs to be here like yesterday because she truly hasn't missed once.
State of Grace. Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Loving this. That last minute is everything. She's really 3/3 for me so far. She just gets pop music tbh. And what I also love about her is the way she knows her audience and she's ready to serve. She could have been releasing lazy and uninspired British DJ tracks instead for an easy hit. 2
