Pikachoo Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Walking on Air is better than anything that try hard Charli put out, so yes there is a difference. Katy is better. 2 1 4 4 10
LovingDays Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Quote Surprised? I would say so... I've only heard the 143 singles and they sound nothing like anything on brat.
Matchatea Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Can we get examples of how it is apparently the same album?
shookspeare Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Considering that the difference between Brat's and 143's MC scores is higher than the total MC score of Smile I'd beg to differ 1 10
ZacXCX Posted September 20 Posted September 20 You've said this twice already in the Metacritic thread, diva. Here's my lovely response if you missed it. Hope it helps. 1
Contessa Posted September 20 Posted September 20 (edited) 143: I couldn't even be her if I tried. I'm opposite I'm on the other side. Edited September 20 by Contessa
LoveInStereo Posted September 20 Posted September 20 The only sonic similarities present are because Dr Who attempts a few anemic impersonations of AG with the production on a few of these songs and couldn't pull it off at all. Where a song like Gone by Charli sounds massive & energetic, 143 sounds flat & dull. Lyrically, brat's detailed, personal, specific, passionate. 143 fr reads like char GPT! I imagine Charli seeing this would feel like when an ugly person calls you twin
JO1s Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Even if you inversed the score of brat it would be almost a whole 25 points higher 1
polygon Posted September 20 Posted September 20 I see the similarities in that they're both cartoony attempts at making music for the gaze
xTurn Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Instead of turning another fandom against Katy, you should give the album a few listens, She needs them. 1
