I said this before on the other katy thread but she's pushing 50 and still being dumb as hell. her having ZERO morals is dangerous cause I know she's the floppest flop of all time but she still has a sizeable fanbase and has been spreading these kind of disgusting and dangerous words on twitter defending that disgusting rapist pig just to defend katy

I mean if we're being honest here, there is nothing in this that actually addresses the current scrutiny she's been under, it's the same with her statement on the Call Me Daddy podcast. Telling people to "touch grass" and saying it doesn't matter she worked with Luke since "it's all coming from me anyway" isn't addressing the questions people have for her about his (seemingly heavy) involvement in her new project. But I guess the fact she chose to work with him is a statement enough.  With all being said, she did put on a good performance last night and good for her for doing so. But ultimately it won't change the opinions of the people booing in the audience or the people throwing tomatoes at her right now. I'd also be doubtful of it changing the trajectory of her new project.

lmaooo so i wasn't the only one who heard that either? the production team scrambling to add some fake audience cheering over it was a kii. can't say she doesn't deserve it after that passive aggressive speech. 

 

The performance was actually surprisingly solid! You can really tell the difference in quality between the hits and her new material though and wow it's apparent. The beefed up mix for Lifetimes should've been how the actual studio version sounded if they knew any better (which clearly no one at Team Katy seems to)

Until then go stream your fave, try and play catch up, before coming for someone who's clearly More successful...

Personally, I think the decision to work with Luke is terrible, and I honestly can't understand the logic behind it or how the pros and cons were even debated. It's a dumb move, both morally (which she clearly doesn't care about since she doesn't believe Luke's guilty) and from a PR standpoint (because obviously, people were going to be pissed).

 

But the way some of you are completely trashing her history and accomplishments is just pathetic. You can't even have a normal conversation about her career. I'm pretty sure you'd still hate on her no matter what she did. It feels like some of you just feed off the drama and hate she gets. She's been your punching bag for a decade, and now you're just using the Luke thing as an excuse to fuel that hate. Don't get me wrong, I think it was incredibly dumb of her to work with him, and you're totally right to criticize that decision. But tearing down her whole career because you dislike her? That's just unserious. Y'all say she's been over since 2014, yet here you are still fixating on her every move 10 years later. You sure give a lot of attention to someone who's supposedly "over."

honey the logic behind it is easy.. she wanted a hit after flopping which is fine... she just doesn't care about kesha or allegations about ra*e or anything about DrLuk outside the studio... she just wanted a hit no matter what and that's how it is and that's why she worked with him and that's why she dogged the question on that interview....in this era in time where celebs are under cancel culture, people would have an opinion and would check celebs no matter what...

not even 2 hours and there is a viral tweet against her with more than 100k and that's is not trashing her accomplishments...that's just general pop stan culture opinion saying she didn't deserved that award.
also don't act like she is the only girl in this industry getting hate bc of how they act or what they do....Camila, Nicki , Jessy Nelson, etc... either people didn't accept their apologies or they never adress the issue... well Katy is on that boat.
