Yeah the conspiracy theories that liberal girls are secretly conservative are weird, especially when the actual famous trump supporters are very explicit about it and even richer than the girls. I don't think ATRL understands how long male conservative money is. They also reach a youth (incels, straight males, etc) that the girls unfortunately don't reach. Then we all go crusading against them with no evidence that they are supporters, just whataboutisms…. Tiresome. Taylor has been a postergirl for secret conservatives at least since 2010 with no other reason than she came up on country music lol even when she has stood her ground dozens of times already…

I had no doubt she'd endorse Kamala, I just wish she wasn't forced and bullied into speaking out. I grew up with the idea that who you vote for is your own business that doesn't have to be shared. This was a very neutral response. Even the picture she used had nothing to do with Kamala to avoid upsetting people. She could've and should've used this time to drag Trump and project 2025. Instead she made it sound like it's OK to vote for Trump and this is just another normal election where the other party wins it's not the end of the world.

 

edit: She also said more positive things about Tim than Kamala. I suspect she's a Kamala hater (doesn't acknowledge her music) and is pro Tim more than anything.
