She donated 4 million and made her song the campaign song, an endorsement is cute but has zero impact Im all for you guys hoping everyone speaks out but you gotta realize the difference Taylor can make both with her popularity and her base, and the fact that some have made it very clear where they stand this cycle 1

First sentence you say an endorsement has zero impact but then the second sentence you say that Taylor's endorsement makes a difference? 2

A beyonce endorsement has zero impact because her base is unlikely to consist of Trump voters, whereas Taylor Swift has a huge base of voters of both parties. And also because she's already licensed her song there was never any doubt where she stood so an endorsement now is confirming what is painfully obvious 2 1
Cruel Summer Posted September 11 Posted September 11 The way the pic with Benjamin was probably chosen weeks ago but is even more perfect after Deranged Don went off the rails about people eating pets has me howling btw, the universe really does have a sense of humor 8
chiliam Posted September 11 Posted September 11 i was thinking she would only post this after the last tour day 3 days before the election. But glad that she is doing this sooner and time it with the debate to spread more awareness. Once again ATRL should change to L forum. Learn to be more patient and dont jump the conclusion without any proofs

discotitzz Posted September 11 Posted September 11 It was straight up disingenuous for users on here to imply she wasn't going to endorse Kamala, let alone that she was secretly voting for Trump this time around I'd say I know they're embarrassed but OTHs have no shame 2 1

People rarely change their fundamental political opinions based on endorsements. It's more about mobilizing likely voters and giving them the motivation to vote. So in that sense, yes, Beyoncé actually speaking up could be useful. Edited September 11 by The Music Industry 1 1
Sombre Posted September 11 Posted September 11 Good for her! No one thought she's a republican (and if you did... be so fr) but glad she's actually using her huge influence explicitly early on.
