The personal attacks over a joke… I know this fanbase is HURTING.

Is the "personal attack" in the room with us now? A sarcastic remark was made and so a response in kind was given.

OT: Seems like Todd's decision to not do test-screenings really came back to bite! Thankfully directors like Bradley Cooper have the sense to do test-screenings. Early versions of ASIB were PANNED and Bradley was smart (and humble) enough to learn from the criticisms and make a well-crafted final product :heart2:

It's NOT a Gaga's Joker, she only has 40 minutes cameo in entire film, it's all Todd and Joaquin fault! :ryan3:

Quick find me a single person who said Joaquin is at fault?

This really isn't the gag you think it is

1. Her performance (along with every other cast member's performances) were one of the few things that were praised about the movie. Even reviews that PANNED the film praised HER

2. The success or failure of a movie is not dependent on the cast. It is dependent on the WRITERS/DIRECTORS/PRODUCERS. Every lashing this film got was because of the plot and pacing.

3. All of Joaquin's last 3 movies before Folie a Deux were CRITICAL and COMMERCIAL bombs. All lost money — namely Napoleon, which lost over $165 million. He survived and will go on to continue securing prestigious roles, as will Gaga.

All you've done is confirm that stanwar'd forumdwellers have no clue how the film industry works. Sad!

Thank you for this! but sadly stanforum culture is a brain rot branch so yeah, it's a waste of time trying to explain real world on here.

This is just the third act of the performance art known as the career of the creative genius of the brilliantly talented Lady Ga Ga. She bombed on purpose so she can have her "We love her again!" moment with LG7 when it opens to shattering debut sales. Only true lovers of the craft would understand.

This is even more embarrassing considering all the hype it got. You can tell her team was expecting a 1-2-3 punch of success with DWAS/FAD/Harlequin to usher in her new album cycle and it completely blew up in their face  :deadbanana4:

I knew the minute Todd Phillips said it'd be "musical" it was going to be bad with the fanbase but I didn't expect the instant NO from the GP after the first week too :deadbanana4:

where are those sudden cinema experts here that were trying to school us on box office stats saying that it was going to break even and on top of that, give WB a little profit? :-*

I would advice she acts light/regular movie next that are not award/acclaimed bait.
She seems to really care for the awards/acclaim rather than the acting itself.

Also she seems to have been tagging her success/relevancy to these movies and soundtracks success.

With the bomb of FAD, LG7 is what will really determine what is the true state of her career in terms of being a MPG. It is going to be an interesting next couple of months , I wish her the best of luck .

Not me looking at Cinemark for showings because my friend really wants to see this despite the ratings and bad press, only to find that every showing for the week is EMPTY. I'm gagged at how bad this flopped. On a site note that means empty theater, so we can maybe sneak in some fun :jonnykin:

The craziest thing is I actually thought this was gonna be a hit :deadbanana4:

this ain't just the biggest Comic Book Bomb ever, but one of the biggest bombs ever. WB & DC have somehow Managed to do even worse then last year and the year before with Flash, Shazam & Black Adam :deadbanana2:

Just stick with Batman. Is this even gonna Hit $200M in total? Lol
