I'm glad she's moving onto LG7 swiftly I am bummed because I was excited about this movie, the idea of it and the candids of her on set got me excited. I haven't seen it yet but don't really have an interest to at this point. Watch it anyway! I didn't think it was soo terrible and I've talked with other people that said the same. Wouldn't say it's a good movie but if you enjoy Gaga you'll at least enjoy the musical parts I suppose 1

taylorrrr Posted October 14 Posted October 14 It's giving the same energy as: Most in the record industry had expected "Born This Way" to show a steep drop in its second week of release, although perhaps not as steep as the 84% plunge it saw after the stellar first week. But the slowdown for "Born This Way" has continued to be more pronounced than many anticipated. 8

Charmed Life Posted October 14 Posted October 14 This thread. Meanwhile, what happened to this one? Lady Gaga on why she made Harlequin: "I wasn't done with her [Lee]" I was about to reply to some comments, but it's been removed.

It will be spun as an underperformance but I don't see a movie experiencing that large a decrease that it fails to gross more than $400 million, especially considering the first one's reviews sucked as well. So, is it "probably... one of the biggest musicals of all time" yet? Is there a list on Wiki or something that I can check for research purposes? Edited October 14 by Youngbae 2
Rihinvention Posted October 14 Posted October 14 (edited) Did it deserve to win the prestigious "Most Anticipated Movie For The 2nd Half of 2024" at the 7th Astra Midseason Movie Awards? It beat out Wicked, Deadpool & Wolverine, Alien: Romulus, and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. Should it be stripped of this award? In all seriousness, I feel like Deadpool & Wolverine was the most anticipated film by straight guys, and Wicked is the most anticipated by girls, gays and theys. Joker 2 tried to combine the two and just ended up leaving both groups going "…wtf." (And before anyone comes for me for saying "only straight guys were excited for Deadpool" — I had tickets to opening night, but I bought my Wicked tickets today, so just let me queen out ) Edited October 15 by Rihinvention 6
spiritboy Posted October 14 Posted October 14 Variety called this Folie a dud Honestly, after all the lashings Katy got from liddos, it's refreshing to see karma biting back so soon Gags will be fine, she'll release her lead soon and everyone will forget jfad happened. Movie flops won't hurt musical career or my fave Madonna wouldn't have a career after so many colossal flops 7 1

If you look around online, everyone thought that. It wasn't just a little monsters thing - box office watchers expected it to do between 800 M - 1 billion too. Todd really pulled a fast one on everyone 1

The "Only-call-me -Lee'-on-set"-actor deserves EVERY bit of it. ...Vin The use of reaction images is giving slw84 levels of old and out of touch…good to see you're still going strong and fueled by your hatred of Gaga though

lgaga1fan Posted October 14 Posted October 14 21 minutes ago, spree said: then why were all her scenes CUT from the film? A movie where she takes the mantle as The Joker (which was very clear and is backed by the deleted scenes) and he dies in prison woulda been much more disliked (i guess). They copped out with the actual edit and cut her part down bc they were prob scared of the reception. If they committed to that arc this would have probably been received at least a tad better. Instead what's left is Lee having half of her arc be told through makeup and her scenes cut to prevent Gaga from getting a full on hate train. 1
CherieMoon Posted October 14 Posted October 14 I think the biggest mistake was making it a musical. Whose idea was that?? 3
