That makes no sense.

But Joaquin with his huge ego wanting to destroy a character much bigger than him while being paid 20 million does make a lot of sense.

Todd probably thought that he was an auteur and could pull it off and get acclaim because he is that dumb. 

This is something normal in hollywood. Two people creating something successful that they hate. They didn't expect incels to be identified by the character so they wanted to destroy it in a  "smart way". But Todd isn't smart so the incels hated it but the critics too.

This is not how marketing works. She fully believed she would conquer the box office, the Oscars and Billboard at the same time.

This reminds me of when people were saying Joker 2 would be big NOT because of Gaga but because it's a sequel to a hit movie and DC and all that. Liddos were even making fun that the solo excuse has transcended into her movie projects now. But Joker 2's flopping is suddenly a solo project and all about Gaga. 

There's a 3 page Base thread posted by her fan, celebrating HER no.1 song on Spotify and HER no.1 movie worldwide. With her other fans joining in and trying to enjoy it while they can, God bless them. So is it her movie or not?
