jjmed59 Posted October 7 Posted October 7 (edited) monsters on twitter trying to make the 121m number seem good are so obviously not aware as to how box office success works for comparison the original did 250m. for further comparison, the little mermaid which many here considered an underperformance did 163m in its global opening. shyboi Posted October 7 Posted October 7 I watched it last niguy it's not bad, bad, Gaga was EXQUISITÉ it just feels very linear yet jumpy, like it was originally 4 hours and then randomly took chops off to make it shorter like things happens but the story doesn't move forward and when its finally getting somewhere it just, ends? 1 3

Gaia Posted October 7 Posted October 7 The next 6 shows at my theater (in a big city) has ZERO TICKETS sold Every single seat is showing available. I absolutely cannot. Only IMAX has seats sold and it's like 7 out of 200 for the early and 8 out of 200 for the later. this is going to be a disastrous BO run 3

I saw one of them tweet "It's the #1 movie in the world this week AND made $121M on opening weekend so there's NO WAY that it won't be turning a MASSIVE profit." 10
Broken Posted October 7 Posted October 7 Lower than The Marvels and freaking Morbius Lower than Deadpool & Wolverine THURSDAY PREVIEWS 6

Price of Fame Posted October 7 Posted October 7 (edited) Yeah, I was predicting 37-38 for the actuals. I'm sure the international numbers are slightly inflated too 70%+ drop next weekend for sure. Could potentially miss 70 million total dom. Edited October 7 by Price of Fame
Gossip_Boy Posted October 7 Posted October 7 This not even meeting WB's already low expectationsThey probably wanted to avoid the "opening below Morbius" headlines but the clown came back to bite. Very curious to see the second week drop now. 1 2

The Eras Tour Opening Day ($37.67M). Like the fact Joker 2 made less than The Eras Tour first day box office is horrific. The Monsters spin zone is baddd lmaoo. 7

These dumbasses think that if a movie outgrosses it's budget, its profitable.
