Because the movie goes out of it's way to mock the people who loved the first movie, thus disrespecting the audience who would otherwise be interested in the movie. + It's a musical and most people hate musicals + they sing showtunes / jazz songs and everyone hates jazz.

Has it ever crossed your mind that maybe, just maybe, it's also a very bad musical? Wicked is about to debut with very strong numbers next month and it's also a musical, so what's your excuse for that?

 

Todd Phillips is a hack who can't make musicals to save his life on top of everything else wrong with this film. You just cannot mock the audience who loved the first film and except to get away with it, especially since incels are NOT most of the people who loved the first film, they were just a very vocal minority. I loved the first film and i'm not an incel in any way.

No it has nothing to do with incels. The writing on the movie makes no sense. Its SO BORING and a bad musical. Half the movie is a bad musical and the other half are a courtroom scene retelling the first movie.

 

Thats why the GP is not for it. Its not even for Liddos. Its a film for no one but todd phillips and joaquin

"Joker: Folie à Deux" has unceremoniously exited the domestic top five in its third weekend of release, collecting $2.18 million from 2,857 venues.
The follow-up to 2019's billion-dollar hit "Joker" has turned into a box office disaster with $56.4 million domestically to date.
The $200 million-budgeted Warner Bros. sequel won't get anywhere near those revenues by the time it leaves theaters.
