Her team is so smart that they decided to release a companion album to this flop film and ended up as her lowest charting album ever, right?

I imagine that companion album was decided upon and recorded a long time ago, it was probably done back when everyone still expected Joker 2 to be huge. But after seeing the final cut of the film they may have attempted to bury it quickly by surprise announcing it, and they announced LG7 before it as well. It was a weird strategy if you think about it. Usually an artist would've focused exclusively on the new movie/soundtrack and once that dies down then announce the new pop album.
