They obviously don't play the movies for free Overseas, movie theaters keep 60 or even 70% of the ticket sales. That's why it's so important that a movie makes 2.5x or even 3.5x their budget
aesthetic bih Posted October 5 Posted October 5 I mean, is this a surprise. Literally nobody likes the movie 1
Chris Posted October 5 Posted October 5 It's just so strange to me how Katy and Gaga literally underperformed back to back. Like what the hell? Beyonce you better come prepared for Act 3.
Gottasadae Posted October 5 Posted October 5 This is a complete disaster, especially considering the downgrade from billion to this pathetic crumbs
Digitalism Posted October 5 Posted October 5 3 hours ago, Infinite said: How on heart that movie would cost 200 millions ? It have like 3 sets and the people that worked there are the same as the Joker 1 i was being sarcastic because i don't belive that "200million stuff" it's not realistic. They say Todd, Joaquin and Gaga's salaries elevated the budget a lot. Like 40 million+ with those 3
Blue Monday Posted October 5 Posted October 5 (edited) But Little Monsters told me that Gaga was a "butt in seats movie star." Did they lie? Edited October 5 by Blue Monday 5

TrymeB Posted October 5 Posted October 5 New deadline article https://deadline.com/2024/10/box-office-joker-folie-a-deux-1236107521/ Quote SATURDAY AM: "This isn't a box office marketplace problem, this is a creative development problem," declared one movie marketing vet this weekend over Warner Bros' bold swing with a foul, Joker: Folie à Deuxwhich at a production cost of $190M+ net is coming in way below projections at $47M…or less. Friday was $20M (which includes previews). Off that figure, industry projections are predicting a landslide today for the Todd Phillips directed sequel, down some 20%.

We've started with 75M then it was 60M then it was 50M later it was 45M and now it's less than 40M. This is probably the biggest flop in comic book adaptations. And now it's 35M hows this possible? Genuine question… 3
SupremeGoddess Posted October 5 Posted October 5 please please open with exact 37 million matching 143 metacritic score would be so ironic 9

LanaXtinaFan Posted October 5 Posted October 5 I am actually in utter shock at how huge this flop is. Considering the budget of the movie and the franchise, this is historically probably the biggest flop for any pop girl movie. 2 2 1

But of course a forum of male homosexuals is trying to blame a women for a mans flop. Girl she read the script. She made the choice. Shes as much to blame. 21
