Pop Fan Posted September 14 Posted September 14 The Grammys are definitely NOT regretting what they did in 2020. No one was voting for this song anyway so him not submitting his music isn't really protesting, he does that to protect his fragile ego because he can't accept the fact that Grammy voters didn't love and vote for After Hours and preferred other albums that year. 7 2 7 12

Imagine not nominating the most streamed and biggest hot 100 hit of all times. And no don't try it with the acclaim, because the whole AH era and especially BL were super acclaimed. The Grammys remain clowns, just like you 18 2 1

MP3 Posted September 14 Posted September 14 3 hours ago, Bends said: Instrumental sounds like a mininal song by some UK DJ from early 2000s, and low-key inspired by t.A.T.u. Also it gives a demo impression, like that "Woman's World" AI/leak version. I agree with you, it sounds like a demo, the production is kinda flat, the bass is weak and his voice is not well mixed, it really sounds unfinished 4
Bends Posted September 14 Posted September 14 (edited) Tate and Weeknd made the same 3.0M YT views during the first day. Katy got 0.95M. Edited September 14 by Bends
Relampago. Posted September 14 Posted September 14 Him RUSH releasing the live version which everyone likes more Just move on to the next single Abel! This song isn't gonna go anywhere. 1 6
whiteferrari Posted September 14 Posted September 14 The song isn't terrible, I think it feels super predictable. Almost like an AI bot wrote it? He's saying a bunch of nothing, it's always lyrics about driving fast/crashing/blurry lights Everything's faded, we barely made it The fire's ragin', but you're still beautiful And it's amazin', 'cause I can taste it Our final odyssey, oh I do love the synth breakdowns after the chorus It's essentially a watered down Less Than Zero (which deserved to close Dawn FM era) 3
Burn Posted September 14 Posted September 14 after sitting with the song I LOVE it omg IT'S INDESCRIBABLEEEEEEEEEE 1
starboy1 Posted September 14 Posted September 14 The way it gained 6 MILLION views in the past 5 hours, bots? the GP? I don't care, King Abel has the last laugh 1
M!X Posted September 15 Posted September 15 I am sorry but what is this I maybe have high standards because I adore his discography but this does not even sound album track worthy - there's nothing "weeknd" about this, it sounds kinda too generic and cheerful, a skip I am afraid 1 1
JDC Posted September 15 Author Posted September 15 It's safe but I really love it, the production is my fav aspect of it, the lyrics needed to be more complex or coherent but it's a nice song, lead single material? Don't think so, too safe
BloodLuster Posted September 15 Posted September 15 sigh I'm disappointed. even Dawn FM deep-cuts have more substance than this...
G.U.Y_Del_Rey Posted September 15 Posted September 15 It's a cute track but it sounds like they asked ChatGPT to generate a The Weeknd pop song produced by Max Martin. 2

unclefloprry Posted September 15 Posted September 15 I'm expecting a big drop in the next few days until Spotify's cute feature does its thing He still has Sao Paulo as a card to secure a 2M debut just in Brazil.
