Not sure why everyone is fuming. No one ever thought music was her first passion, she has for the most part released other people's rejects throughout her career. And I say that as someone who loves a lot of her music.

She is having huge success with OMITB and now Maria Perez, so obviously music is on the back-burner.

she should give us stars dance 2.0 before fully retiring :rogue:

No biggie on the musical front, especially after her last two singles. :biblio:

That really, really sucks about not being able to carry her own child.

I'm sure she would've felt different Single and Love On smashed but sure.

its a shame because she has such a good ear for music (sans the newer releases)

Droplet, Revival, Souvenir, Let Me Get Me you will always be famous :cries:

Her acting is mediocre at best.

Love the interview and I'm glad she's speaking openly about kids/family and her struggles about health. It's not something really shared or people being so honest about.

I can't wait for her new acting projects.

the reactions are always more annoying than the statement itself :rip:

This part. She's been saying she'd rather focus on acting for about a decade and now she has her chance. She should push out an album as a thank you to the fans before she fully drops it though.

yeah, this. she should take notes

She's not fully dropping it, she told us in the interview. She will release an album when she feels its the right time (gp reception + good music)

all those comments about her acting when they see her in emilia perez.... :coffee:

Mabel is a role she plays. She's supposed to be "dry" so she can be the opposite of the 2 Martins. But okay.

they will keep saying it's bad. It's not like they even watched something about her. Who cares about what **** say on ATRL while she's an emmy nominated actress + receiving buzz on the Oscar run :clack:

I've always said that she accidentally became a singer through the Disney machine and accidentally found a successful music career because of her fame through that machine, but she's always been an actress first and foremost for me. Not a great actress of course, but she does bring a level of awareness and genuineness in her acting that's miles above whatever she brings as a singer and performer. I've enjoyed her role in Only Murders in the Building a lot and I hope I get to see more interesting acting roles from her.

I loved Revival and liked Rare, I wish we could get another album to finish off the R trilogy. Oh well I wish her the best in her endeavors, her acting career seems to be taking off.
