If something is your hobby you are passionate about it. I never saw Selena being passionate about music, or she is better actress than we think she is.

What's amazing is she's never gotten any better at singing OR acting. She's legit horrid at both. Even in OMITB she's the sore standout with the Disney-type acting. One note on both accounts despite almost 20 years is wild so what is she actually passionate about?

Isn't her appeal that millennials feel sentimental and nostalgic towards her as (like other Disney girls) she was always on TV when they were growing up and she therefore feels like a friend and an interminable part of their childhoods?
 

I think at this point it's safe to say she could open her mouth and burp sing and people would be like "oh isn't that cute, it's just Selena finding her key".

By the way she worded it she makes it seem as if music wasn't that meaningful or a serious business for her or it's something she could quit whenever she wants. Well, for some artists music is not just their main source of income but their whole lives.

 

I really hope she reconsiders what she said because I'm not even a fan but I would hope she's just confused or something.

 

Who Says was a song that meant a lot to Jordin, and she's about to release an album. And she certainly could have made it a hit back then.

The way yall are so mad! Her hobby ended up having more success than some of your faves music careers. It just shows how well liked Selena is by the gp. That a hobby took off and made her successful. Now that she doing very will with acting and business she can finally focus on what she always wanted. 
but Selena success proves how bad some of your faves music truly is if she was able to do it despite the lack of talent.

Well, then 'Revival' turned out to be a great outcome if you consider it was just a 'hobby'. Imagine if she actually wanted to make music or put more energy into it, the Grammys wouldn't be safe.
