I never commented because I knew it was a waste of time. People have differences in their religion, culture, sexuality, gender, race and ethnicity, and yet, they are able to connect on a humane level because they are human. So why is Taylor Swift being friendly with Trump supporters and/or Republicans any different? I'll tell you why: she is a public face and the biggest in the world right now. Of course, people have a right to criticize, but at the end of the day, it is better to understand others' perspectives and values—in this case Taylor is with the MAGA supporters—then it is to assume or judge without knowledge of one's self. Now, I am not saying supporting Donald Trump is a good thing (he's a trash human being, let's be real), but does undermining someone because of who they associate with based on a few photos make you objectively a good person? Probably not.

 

This isn't in defense of Taylor but moreso anyone who has peers different than themselves. We all are unique and that is beautiful.
