Taylor is the CEO, a billionaire, powerful, connected... she doesn't need to do anything or be friendly with anyone she doesn't want to Yeah as a swiftie I agree. Can defend endless variants of TTPD but cant defend her political choices or inner circles anymore. She is not someone who is needy, she is a billionaire and she has huge impact on GP. 1
TayDuaStan Posted September 9 Posted September 9 At the end of the day, who cares? I stan her for her music, not for her political stance. If i want political advice, i'd take it from someone with a degree in the matter, not from a musician.
Reginald Posted September 9 Posted September 9 (edited) not me sleeping through such an iconique Page 1 Anyway, chile, we all know the stakes of this election for every group that isn't rich, straight, white, Christian men. If my friends were okay with what the GOP is proposing, I wouldn't want to be associated with them anymore. Edited September 9 by Reginald 3 2

We don't have to defend her blindly like some Katycats do… and look how it turned out for them

You don't get my point, but it's okay not everyone gifted with smart brain or good intelligence i mean idc with US politics, i only care with Taylor music. but if Taylor endorsed for republic candidate , only democrat voter would attack her. meanwhile if Taylor endorsed for Democrat Candidate, republican voter would attack her, and some id!otttt democrat voter would attack her and still accuse her for being republican. THAT'S MY POINT USER BLACKOUTBRITNEY. Like fans, like idol, not so smart

That does not mean I'm not doing anything else in my day to day life. This is incredibly odd to say. 3
Malkuth Posted September 9 Posted September 9 It's not a big deal. If you have more than like 5 friends you probably are friends with someone who voted a right-wing party at least once in their life.
shimind Posted September 9 Posted September 9 republicans and dems are 50 percent each of the population only a dumb mf would think they can't be real life friends or shouldn't interact with each other in real life
mael Posted September 9 Posted September 9 (edited) It's you and me, there's nothing like this Miss AmeriMAGA and right wing Prince We're so happy, we paint the town red Edited September 9 by mael 1
Just a Gay on ATRL Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Social media is doing the absolute MOST about this. One critically important thing people are forgetting, that Taylor even confirmed herself in her post where she mentioned the Vienna, is that Taylor needs to be very careful when she makes statements about matters now due to the safety of her fans. She is still on a humongous stadium tour and Taylor has reached such an overwhelmingly humongous level of fame that unfortunately her concerts have become a highly visible target for absolute freaks who wish to do harm at her concerts. Taylor must consider whether speaking up or not is the most protective option for her fans everytime she shares an opinion on anything going forward. I get the disappointment but I also think people need to be more understanding of the position she's in too. I personally wish that she would do the really ballsy move rn and speak out in support of Kamala before November because I'm tired of her always making moves in pursuit of maximum profitability and likability. If she does speak out, she still needs to keep her fans safety in mind, but I do think she and her team can do things to protect her fans even in the tense political American climate of the 2024 election. Personally, I want her to take a risk and actually stand for something because it's getting tired watching her constantly obsess about her sales and how much people like her at a point in her career she needs to stop giving af about pleasing everyone. She is very powerful and would be on the right side of history advertising Kamala. Quite bluntly, she needs to stop giving af about making her Republican fans happy. 1
PoisonPill Posted September 9 Posted September 9 The ATRLers who think she's evil for being friendly toward the wife of her spouse's colleague: are you expecting her to refuse to acknowledge her? Spit in her face? Being a professional and operating in the adult world means socializing and being cordial toward people even if you don't align on every personal and political belief.
byzantium Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Do any of you actually care about the game that was playing?
305 Posted September 9 Posted September 9 People losing their minds in this thread are so ******* weird. She doesn't owe yall **** but just know the second she endorses Kamala its over for yall
georgechxng Posted September 9 Posted September 9 not her having DINNER overnight with brittany while swifties have been trying to convince everyone here that she secretly hates her 3
Letemtalk Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Fiscally conservative-socially liberal. She probably votes for the one her financial advisers tells her is going to help her get her second billion.
byzantium Posted September 9 Posted September 9 9 hours ago, wish said: This is annoying but she could (and should) fix it by speaking out against Trump already. If she wanted to be the most helpful. She would speak in late September or early October. Doing anything now would waste any assistance she could give. I think most people aware of things would agree they would rather win the election than appease some deranged Twitter users.
Letemtalk Posted September 9 Posted September 9 I'm old enough to remember when the Swifties decided to cancel Karlie Kloss for dating a man who's brother is a Republican. 7 1 4

I don't disagree, but there is no such thing as being professional with your partner's co-worker's partner. Professionalism is all about your demeanor within your profession. Taylor's professionalism is applicable to her behavior at the Grammys and with her musician peers, not with a housewife. I'm just tired of seeing that talking point thrown around. 3
