alright here's where I stand as a former swiftie and still casual fan of her MUSIC:

 

yeah. it's disappointing that she's surrounding herself with this lady. it's also disappointing that she hasn't said anything about rebuking Tr*mp THIS ELECTION CYCLE yet. a small message would've been nice! in all honesty, I have other things to focus on this second like how my manager is about to quit and so is my other night shift dude (hot btw omg he looks like Idris Elba ) so I'm gonna be getting more shifts! and also how I just moved into my new apartment and I don't have a dresser yet  point is, I got stuff to worry about that's more pressing than this. I'm not gonna automatically label her a republican. is she ignorant a lot of the time? hell f*cking yes, and I would've even said that when I was still wont to consider myself a swiftie! she's a f*cking billionaire. I'm not gonna defend her or anything. I love a lot of her music, she makes tone deaf choices, she's out of touch a lot of the time, and if I were still a stan I'd be disappointed and letting this fester in my brain and probably make a big stink about it on twitter. so booo @ some of her actions. this woman isn't even some lifelong friend they barely know each other for a year, and it's not just that she supported trump, it's that trump also happily jumped on the support like it's the biggest thing ever.

 

when her career was in decline she felt the need to speak up, and now she's comfortable and clearly very privileged. Very good reason to be disappointed by that behavior even if she's unlikely to be a Republican herself.
