I know they've broken the pattern before, but they're surprisingly consistent with it. I wonder if Taylor's presence is bringing in enough female viewers, or if it's pissing male football fans off so much that they don't want to see the Super Bowl be "the Taylor & Miley show" or "the Taylor & Ariana show." I could've sworn Miley was leading the talks for it, but also thought Ariana could've got it considering it's the *only* Super Bowl that will ever exist between Wicked Part 1 and 2. Seemed like a great opportunity to push renting Part 1 online, and it seems like so much could be done with Cynthia as a guest and Defying Gravity in a stadium. That's hella gay though, and I suppose it's still the Super Bowl. Didn't stop Gaga from performing Born This Way though. I suppose back-to-back men means a female artist is almost guaranteed next year though.
