katara Posted September 6 Posted September 6 After just 17 weeks of charting RO leaves the album chart in her homeland and her most important market. It should be studied how she managed to go from the biggest female album of the decade to one of the biggest follow up bombs ever. Congratz Dukagjin and Kevin Parker #Justice For TAP 2 11
Miley Cyrus Posted September 6 Posted September 6 (edited) but i though she sold out glastonbury or whatever?? luv to see it this one's for you plastic hearts!! Edited September 6 by Miley Cyrus 2 4 7 2
NoAngelus Posted September 6 Posted September 6 Payola can only get you so far. Hopefully this is the end of her runera. 4 1 2
RideOrDie Posted September 6 Posted September 6 idk why some of you act surprised, radical floptimism has some of her best songs ever (particularly goddini) but she never had the talent or fanbase to keep smashing every single time, the bubble was gonna burst at some point even saying that RO wasn't the biggest bomb ever 5 4
Frozen99 Posted September 6 Posted September 6 don't count her out, if she runs back to TAP, she can make a stellar comeback. 3 1
Dula Peep Posted September 6 Posted September 6 I would not be surprised if some of you work for TAP 1
vipanonymous Posted September 6 Posted September 6 comeback to TAP. Your dad clearly knows nothing about music management 3 3
Popular Post MatiRod Posted September 6 Popular Post Posted September 6 She can recover with her next album, it was just a matter of these singles not connecting enough. Her image is basically unchanged, it's not like she went through a bad scandal and people hate her or forgot about her. "Dance the Night" was only a year ago. 16

TayDuaStan Posted September 6 Posted September 6 (edited) Dua's worst album did that Edited September 6 by TayDuaStan
UnusualBoy Posted September 6 Posted September 6 I thought the album was doing better there but I guess not

Future Nostalgia is bigger than literally anything Miley has ever done, and ESV was a huge bomb, spending less time on the UK chart than Radical Optimism. Your fave even ran to her for a collab back in 2020 Edited September 6 by Joey307 1 1

Your dad clearly knows nothing about music management I don't think the problem is management, it's A&R. "Training Season" and "Illusion" just weren't punchy enough. The former in particular, it's a creative metaphor but a bit harder to wrap your head around than her other hits. And "Illusion" feels redundant after another magic themed single ("Houdini"). I think the US is in a midtempo phase right now and these were all aggressive dance hits. "These Walls" would've probably done better as a single. 1

SimSim Posted September 6 Posted September 6 We're still in time to get back to FN and release Cool to stay relevant, miss Dula! Jokes apart, I think she still have the power to come back as strong as during FN - perhaps even more. I'm pretty sure she can grow even Bigger than that if she plays it well, tbh. And I just know she's cooking something up already. 1

Exactly, she can easily sweep this era under the rug and pretend it never happened I guess that's one of the Pro's of having a bomb era, most people (GP) probably won't even realize it happened in the first place and when she comes back she can come back Swinging with a Quality lead single that will connect to audiences. Unfortunately the singles run of RO just didn't have that connecting power, but hey not every album is gonna be a smash 2
