It's preposterous because an ancient solo Gaga song went mega viral enough LAST YEAR to go top 10 on radio and because ARUTW is dog-walking numerous 2020s hits in recurrent streams. A solo Gaga soundtrack song also almost went top 40 just two years ago when 99% of soundtracks don't even crack the Hot 100.

The fact is that this forum loves to downplay Gaga's commercial success so while Gaga isn't solely responsible for this song smashing, it's just as preposterous to say Bruno is the sole reason this smashed. Both had relatively similar Billboard stats before this launch so it's moot to see which solo version would have theoretically smashed harder because we'll never know.

Both of those songs had other factors going on for them that they massively benefited from. One being a viral moment and the other one a huge movie. I'm not downplaying her success. I'm just saying that it's harder for her nowadays to drop a song and have it smash """organically"" as in people having genuine interest for that mp3 file without other factors coming into play.

Plus, I was referring to this song specifically which is Bruno's playground as he has had multiple other massive hits of the same vibe. Gaga not so much which is why I said what I said.

Gaga hasn't had a top 3 solo hit in over a decade, so Bruno.

And Bruno hasn't had a top 3 solo hit in 8 years??? Why are we acting like they both had extremely recent Top 3 solo hits.

Def 50/50. Tho if it were to be a solo song for each of them, I think Bruno would have a better chance to make it more successful than Gaga. The song is more of his repetitive throwback schtick. Apparently the sound that most have been using on tiktok is the one that uses his vocals only, uploaded by his fan. Surprised it even eclipsed the main sound.

Bruno

This song is basically a silk sonic song and Bruno took off Andersons vocals and replaced them with gaga

With what vocal range? Sis has the range of a Fisher Price toy piano. It would not be a duet more like background vocals. :fan2:

Sabrina has a wider vocal range than GaGa sweetie

Sabrina: 3 octaves and three half steps

GaGa: 3 octaves and 1 half steps

Yes I also noticed most people only used Bruno's part of the song on Tik Tok…

How peculiar

I actually do love her recent output but- :rip:

I mean Bruno's charting like 5 other songs on global spotify while Gaga's coming off a mostly dull era (Chromatica and that Top Gun song)

What's the point of going top 5 when the song's been stuck at 300M streams for like 4 years? It's clear Gaga hasn't scored a solo hit on her albums since 2011

You said before that she hasn't had a solo hit since 2011, she literally has a solo album track from 2018 outstreaming other artists #1 singles right now.

All three belonging to albums credited to the artist Lady Gaga.

Very apt username, burnin' red hot with anger, but it is time to accept that Gaga is here to stick around with iconic hits beloved by the GP, both solo or otherwise. :sistrens:

Neither. Massive playlist reach and no 1 on TTH. If Womans world had that it would also be in the top 10.

If this were true then WW and DWAS would have similar performances on other platforms like YouTube and Apple Music. Yet DWAS has over double the views WW has and it topped AM US (and it's currently at #4) whereas WW never cracked the top 200 :rip: not to mention DWAS has been huge on TikTok, but WW's only mentions on that platform were to ridicule it.

ot: seeing as both Gaga and Bruno have great talent, back catalogues, hits, and longevity, they both contributed to the song's success.

Both. Come on now, the song won't be as good as it is with just only one of them. They contributed equally to the greatness of the song.

Just because I didn't reply to all the 20 liddos quoting me at the same time doesn't mean I was "clockedT" :rip:

Tell me where I'm wrong with saying stupid love is a flop? Any other pop girl pulls those numbers and bored liddos themselves would enter those threads to call them "frontloaded" or "she's over"
