So LG7's solo single will replicate DWAS' success?

Noted.

How about you stop putting words in my mouth and start putting this obsessive energy you've had towards DWAS into streaming your REAL fave's music so it can chart ANYWHERE for more than a week?

Oh sis… We really don't want to compare GaGa's stats with Taylor or Adele's.

Let's stick with Sabrina.

he's never had a #1 on Global Spotify nor a Top 3 debut on the Hot 100 while Gaga has achieved both of those things before, sometimes even several times.

Considering it's only had 1 full week on the charts, there is ZERO evidence to assume it would have done better than #3 on the Hot 100 without Gaga. Not even his biggest hits have debuted that high.

I like you so I won't push back on this too hard. But debuts aren't everything. Longevity is key, and with any luck this song will show better in the long run than Stupid Love or Rain On Me. What I meant was that even if a solo Bruno song didn't debut at #3. it would have risen close to that eventually, as my guess. "It Will Rain" peaked at #3 after all, and it had a similar vibe to it imo, in that it was a bit slow for something you'd expect radio to latch onto (especially since playlists back then were A LOT more uptempo), but it did it anyway.

Yes, we all DEFINITELY believe you're a Taylor/Adele/Sabrina hybrid stan and not a shaking Kitty Kat hiding behind literally anyone and everyone you can to drag the girl from '08 that didn't end up as the fad from the Obama administration that your fave did.

I like you too sis

It Will Rain was attached to a movie much like Shallow. And we know how much that song's success gets torn apart for needing a movie to smash.

I don't think anyone is denying that Bruno is a certified hit maker and smashes. He has 19 Top 10's compared to Gaga's 18.

I think these "what ifs" about how a song would have performed with or without someone on it is useless because we'll never know. So if we do partake in these discussions we have to use historical evidence and really only Rain On Me fits into the bill of "Gaga being carried in terms of success". N=1 is not a trend. You and I both know Shallow does not fit that bill.

Both of them

since they're both reaching career heights they never did before this song

but your attempt is adorable

The song could have charted the same even if it were a Bruno Mars solo. Gaga has needed collaborations for every top 3 single she's had since after The Edge Of Glory in 2011, so... :michael:

Yet DWAS is his biggest opening week by far and none of his other songs (solo or otherwise) come even close

Are we ready for another smash OP after the previous one went 6x platinum in downvotes?

Being from a box office smash movie doesn't predetermine a song's fate either. "It Will Rain" performed a lot better than "Decode" or any of the Hunger Games tracks. I won't talk too much about "Hold My Hand" coming from Top Gun though, since… well… yeah…

And yeah i wasn't going to bring up "Shallow" but Bradley Cooper being a megastar in his own right probably helped the song get attention, even if it was a minor contribution. Obviously not to the same degree as Ariana. That and it's been "six whole years" :eli: since then so yeah.

OP you already embarrassed yourself. I would have taken a longer break and maybe a name change.

HMH was an embarrassing bomb :coffee: Surprised it was even able to clear 300M on Spotify. Its YT views are also a shock but everything else especially its Hot 100 run was laughable.

But a success is a success. And Die With A Smile is currently smashing. I don't see the need for asterisks on Gaga's wins since ARTPOP :bird:

Honestly? Both.

It's been 3 years since Bruno's last album, so people were expecting new music from him. Likewise, Gaga's last album was 4 years ago, and the general public loves to consume her duets apparently.

Shouldn't you be busy buying and streaming your faves Katy Perry music? Or organizing listening parties or bot farms considering nobody gives a **** about your fave.

We are so lucky to live in a timeline where such talented individuals come together to bless us with this angelic echo of a song. They both shine in their own unique ways and bring the best out of each other and everyone seems to agree except well…

Not you saying this when the song's first viral moment was Gaga's dance during the bridge :rip:

Oh pls. As if memes mean anything. And you said it yourself: Gaga's... dancing

Half the top 10 would be nothing without TikTok right now

Their joint slay is kind of 50/50. Haven't heard much from them in a long while music wise so there's no way to pinpoint that.

With what vocal range? Sis has the range of a Fisher Price toy piano. It would not be a duet more like background vocals. :fan2:

Neither. Massive playlist reach and no 1 on TTH. If Womans world had that it would also be in the top 10.
