I hope she gets a really nice score on Metacritic. Both Manic and IICHLIWP were acclaimed (both with 80) but i hope TGI gets 85+ somehow

Pitchboring will def give their usual 6-something

I can't believe I'm taking a plane to New Zealand soon… just in time for the album release. I'm so hyped

Cause my dog diеd last year
He fell asleep in my embrace
And the very last thing I told him
Was, "See you soon and we can race"
You know a mercy kill is what I seek
I didn't ask to live, but dying's up to me

I heard Dog Years and Arsonist. She really nailed PJ Harvey sound in Dog Years and Arsonist is psychedelic.

be even crazier if secret songs drop on release day

Panic Attack and Hurt Feelings are the only radio friendly songs imo.

I wish she took more risks with this album

Life of a spider is phenomenal though her best song ever she should stick to this sound too

'The Great Impersonator' is both deeply personal and sharply relevant to wider pop culture, quietly contributing to conversations being had by, and about, Chappell Roan, as well as those that have followed the death of Liam Payne. It's also an album that's harder to reduce down into one quick sentence, traipsing as it does through so many genres, moods and time periods. The only prevailing sense is that, if Halsey never chooses to make a full record again, she's made sure to say everything she needed to with this one

Clash - 90

Just finished my first listen. Songs that stood out to me are:

Dog Years

Panic Attack

Hometown

Lonely Is the Muse

Hurt Feelings

The Great Impersonator

I did expect some more diversity with overall sound. But I think the album is a great one and her most personal. Very emotional and deep.

I didn't like Hometown in the snippet and in the complete version it's beautiful

Can someone share the alternative artworks in HQ please? Want to change mine on my iTunes library

I love the way they promoted this album, can't wait to hear it tonight

It's very bold of her to open the album with that 6 minute long borefest :gaycat6: That will definitely hurt her streaming numbers.

Panic Attack is the best song by far and why the hell was it not the lead single? If she released that instead of Lucky she would be in a very good position right now.

Opening an album with a 6-minute song should give you a clue that streams are not the priority here.

She just stated she hopes the album will go #1 and it was very obvious she was upset when Lucky did not smash. She even made those immature blog posts about "why did I even come back"

She didn't "stated she hopes the album will go #1", she just said that she hopes HFK won't be her first and the last #1 forever
And her "why did I even come back" posts were not about commercial success of the singles but about the people BULLYING HER and telling the music SUCKS :giraffe:
