mons†er Posted October 21 Posted October 21 This album is shaping up to be critical acclaim, vintage style music videos, and possibly some of her best live vocals.
My20sBlues Posted October 22 Posted October 22 Halsey said there are "secret tracks", will they come in the physical or deluxe editions? 2
Burqa Posted October 22 Posted October 22 someone on twitter said she looks like millie bobby brown in that britney impersonation and i can't unsee it 1
Popboi. Posted October 22 Posted October 22 Only heard the singles and that Arsonist snippet, lowkey think this might be my second or third fav album from them (unless something goes terribly wrong with the other album tracks dddd)
AvadaKedavra Posted October 22 Posted October 22 (edited) I have to be honest i was a hater before lmfao but im in love with Lucky (The video so cute) and this impersonator thing) One of the best album concepts i seen in years So, im checking-buying this new record hope it goes top 10-top 5-Nr1 Edited October 22 by AvadaKedavra 3 1
Kern Posted October 22 Posted October 22 As I expected - the song that sounds like a demo is Tori Amos inspired. And people who know Tori Amos (so not many ATRLers) know that she has a song like that so it makes total sense
perfectillusion204 Posted October 22 Posted October 22 Life of the Spider snippet sounds so painful and sad omg. I hate being that person but the amount of sales she has had for her merch store is slightly concerning tbh (I think it has been 30% off a few times and then another time was 17% off). I know this album is not gonna be a hit, but she deserves sooo much better!!! Most of the snippets are amazing and the promo strategy of her impersonating celebs is pretty genius. I'm glad she's getting some attention of the impersonations, but what I've seen is that they don't know there's an album even coming… I believe the GP thinks she's doing this for Halloween and that's it 💀 Sorry for my short rant, but Ashley deserves the world and I already know this is gonna be one of my top albums of the year. I can't wait to see how she takes on touring this album. 2
Europe Posted October 22 Posted October 22 The way this random collab is better than everything from this album. She should have kept this for herself and push it as a single. Would be the best thing she did since 2017. 1 5

Tell me you only care about successful artists without saying it if you want her to go back to her 2017 days… lmao. Her most commercially successful album is her least favorite album… does that not tell you anything? 2 1

And i really hope I will love the album but so far most of what I heard sucked and i'm very disappointed. 4

I'm sure it will be a different experience when we actually listen to the entire, full-length body of work. Snippets rarely do songs justice, let alone entire albums. And don't forget about recency bias... I think it's only reasonable to truly judge and rank something after weeks have passed. Stay positive!
Reverse Warholian Posted October 22 Posted October 22 'Life of the Spider' is going to be such a GUT PUNCH 1

rebeltwat Posted October 22 Posted October 22 I would love to snatch a 70s variant of the album but shipping costs the same as the vinyl itself

I think it's pretty safe to assume. Idk if she actually said it anywhere. It makes sense though if you just read her interviews talking about past albums. 1
Mocha Posted October 22 Posted October 22 The only song/snippet i haven't like so far is the End, and I feel bad because I know it's such a special song for her
Mr. Peanutbutter Posted October 22 Posted October 22 I wonder if she'll impersonate Trent Reznor/Nine Inch Nails. She said it before that they were a big inspiration for her music
Burqa Posted October 23 Posted October 23 some people on twitter are suggesting that one of the remaining impersonations is bjork since she did pj harvey and tori but i think one of them (the title track?) will be ashely impersonating halsey 1
