motomami Posted September 25 Posted September 25 When the record was played at the album listening event, the different album covers were shown during the associated songs. Past 70s, 80s, 90s, and 00s, there are a few that were designated as the standard art as well (Only Girl, Spider, etc) -- the fifth 'time period' is less a decade, and moreso just Halsey to my understanding 1

Lady Claire Posted September 25 Posted September 25 I'm pretty sure she'll release separate EPs by each decade on streaming too. She always releases EPs right after her albums, and it would make sense this time too Also the tracklist looks so good it definitely seems to be a ride and supposed to be heard from start to finish. I just cant wait 2 2
perfectillusion204 Posted September 25 Posted September 25 My theory or whatever you wanna call it lol: She plays (or maybe turns into) this character called The Great Impersonator, who can "time travel". The 4 songs with no decades associated are Only Living Girl in LA (opening track, makes sense to set the scene of the story), I Believe in Magic (her realization she can time travel or something like that), Life of the Spider (we know this is a super personal song), and The Great Impersonator (closing track, sums everything up). It's interesting though that the Letter to God (1998) is associated with the 00s unless it's a mistake ddd. Based on the fact she thought she was going to die while making this album, I'm wondering if the album's ending is that she dies in the 00s, and this 1998 letter wasn't found until then. Probably a delulu theory lol 1 4
Mocha Posted September 25 Posted September 25 an hour long album in 2024? she really said here's a grass fed homemade meal 1
orange22 Posted September 25 Posted September 25 She'll probably reorder the tracklist for the deluxe anyway but I'm perched
AshleyLovescats887 Posted September 26 Posted September 26 Btw something that I noticed is that the trailer for 'The Great Impersonator' had scenes of 70s, 80s and 90s Halsey talking as if they are in an interviews. Those could be correlated to the 'Letter To God' tracks, considering that the letters are dated(1974), (1983) and (1998) and we do not have the Y2K! letter, nor do we have Y2K! Halsey's interview scenes.
AshleyLovescats887 Posted September 27 Posted September 27 I mean On 9/26/2024 at 12:35 PM, Burqa said: I mean..technically they aren't wrong, as Halsey did mention that there are a few songs that didn't make it and are gonna be released via a deluxe edition. I kinda doubt we are gonna have a "THE ANTHOLOGY" double album, as Halsey never really teased it.

mons†er Posted October 3 Posted October 3 I have found myself replaying the snippet of 'Panic Attack' often. 'Is It love or a panic attack?' Halsey, the songwriter you are..
AshleyLovescats887 Posted October 5 Posted October 5 Halsey had a little QnA on Twitter about the album and this is what I noted: • 'I Believe In Magic' is about their kid Ender, is a 'big sister anthem' along with 'Hurt Feelings' • There will be more Music Videos • After the album listening event, Halsey realised that the album was "a bit too depressing"
original_lifeline Posted October 5 Posted October 5 the way I was #1 Halsey fan on here during IICHLIWP era, and now I have literally 0.1% of the hype I've had during these days. just tragic. less than 3 weeks and I feel NOTHING 1
AshleyLovescats887 Posted October 6 Posted October 6 'I Never Loved You' sounds absolutely fantastic, ohhh godsey I don't wanna spoil myself too much with the album so I will stream it along with the full album. The snippet definitely got me really excited and impatient.

I like Ego & The Muse, but they haven't grabbed me. The new snitppet sounds promising though. I'm hoping there'll be some surprises because 18 tracks is bloated if half of them are good then we've won. I just hope the website thing isn't about chronic illness and motherhood because I feel as if it's just not relatable. 1

I feel like the album will cover chronic illness and motherhood, considering that we already have 'The End', 'I Believe In Magic', 'Hurt Feelings' and 'Lucky', but we are definitely going to get songs about the break up with Alev ('I Never Loved You' probably being one of them) so the album will definitely have a variety of topics discussed

So I'm hoping the album expands further beyond that thematically otherwise it'll be a one time listen and I usually replay her records for months when they first come out
