Dua is not better in any aspect than Taylor.

Sabrina is way too high, the album was just okay. She should swap places with Billie.

Chappell deserves an 8

Billie deserves 8.5

Other than that, it's cute

Eh CC is kind of weak compared to Renaissance so I don't agree with that.

what does that have to do with anything ? :rip: especially considering it has a lower score than renaissance lol

Billie should be way higher. CC & Short & Sweet are definitely not an 8 but are good projects. The rest is fine.

well, i didn't say otherwise. just said its funny

Brat and Cowboy Carter being the best and The Tortured Poets being the worst feels correct. The others could switch.

Yes for the first and last place.

Sabrina is just too high that's the only major issue. Her album isn't better than Ariana's, ,Chappell's or Billie's. I think Billie and Chappell deserved higher scores and Sabrina should have got like a 6.9 or something.

Cowboy Carter should've been a strong 9. The only thing holding it back was how slow it starts off. But when it picks up it does not slow down.

Swap Sabrinas score with Billie and slightly increase Duas (maybe to like 7/7.1)

Haven't listened to Sabrina's album and they did Billie wrong, everything else looks on point

I'd put CC in front of Brat and Taylor in front of Dua and Billie

Ari in front of Sabrina

Yeah a 8.0 seems way too high but maybe the singles swayed them idk

Yeah, if the list was upside down

Truthfully, I don't think Billie, Dua, or Tay deserved below a 7.

I think Tay is suffering of overexposure, but TTPD is some of her best work lyrically - evident on Guilty As Sin, The Smallest Man, So Long London, Loml...

Radical Optimism is not nearly as good as Future Nostalgia, but still not a horrible album.

Billie I think they just rated low to be 'edgy' because even if I don't like it - it still deserves at least a 7.5 :rip:

If anything, CC did not deserve the same level of acclaim that Renaissance got - when Renaissance is a once in a generation album whereas CC is well.. already forgotten.

SnS for me is more of a 6.5

BRAT I think got caught up in the hype but top to bottom for me, sonically and vocally, its like a 7.0

For me it would be: Beyonce, Chappel, Ariana as the top 3

Posted

Honestly at least the order is pretty close to how I'd put the ones I've heard (only one I haven't fully listened to is Chappel's yet), but Billie's deserves to be up by Brat and CC

Swap Dua and Sabrina, otherwise this seems accurate.

Brat is not a better album.. but ok.

Do you agree with Pitchfork's assessments of these recent pop girl albums?

Charli xcx — Brat: 8.6

Beyoncé — Cowboy Carter: 8.4

Sabrina Carpenter — Short n' Sweet: 8.0

Ariana Grande — eternal sunshine: 7.2

Chappell Roan — Midwest Princess: 7.2

Billie Eilish — Hit Me Hard and Soft: 6.8

Dua Lipa — Radical Optimism: 6.6

Taylor Swift — Tortured Poets: The Anthology: 6.0

Hit Me Hard and Soft >>> SnS. There's no way her album is better than Billie's. SNS is mostly filler and only has like 3-4 standout songs.

I agree with Eternal Sunshine, I do think it's a little overrated.
