Dua Lipa: Where does her career go from here?

It wasn't long ago when Dance The Night become a hit, then Houdini was released and didn't take off immediately, when her fans uttered the phrase "wait until January!", but unfortunately, the song never took off, the following singles performed worse, the album came and went, and was pretty much overshadowed by other bigger releases, all while being called mediocre by the Lipsters and Pop fans alike.

What can Dua do to turn this around and return to the Pop Princess form we all know and loved her for? Or is she done and mimicking a Katy Perry-post Witness like career with her new ice cream adventure?

It just feels like she's given up on this project or lost the drive she had during the Future Nostalgia era

Radical Optimism will not even reach Smile numbers in the US let alone Witness.

Now that Sabrina and roan are here, the hipster gays don't need her anymore. She lost weight and got a tight body for nothing.

it seems that she has her ideas in the right direction — the visuals were great, the producers she chose were good, the interviews made the album sound innovative and promising... —, but there's something holding her vision back from coming to fruition. i really don't understand how this tame album ended up being promoted as some sort of psychedelic triumph. it's like there's a disconnect between what she wanted the music to be and what it actually sounds like; or that, as many have theorized, she did have a great album that got meddled with by the label at the last minute. whatever happened, this issue has to be solved so that promotion makes sense and people don't get frustrated by the product.

that said, she's pretty and charismatic. if music ever stops working out for her — which i doubt — she can always turn to modelling, advertising, being a lifestyle influencer, a tv show host, or whatever. also, wasn't she dipping in acting? maybe she can get some roles. idk.

Now that the album cycle is at the end of an era, Dua should be the one to give dance pop one kiss goodbye and steer her career into uncharted territory with new rules. She can't go running and begging to popular producers for a hit; she should keep her demeanor cool and her creativity hotter than hell. It's the only way to prevent her future albums from falling forever down the charts.

Work with a new team of producers and songwriters and just start working on a new album and release it in  1st or 2nd quarter of 2025. No waiting. She needs to make sure she can bounce back from this. She needs to pull a Rihanna and keep releasing music every year too not let the gp forget about her.
