Interscope is so weak when it comes to pop radio payola. 2. Pop radio wont play lady gaga song, they'll make it go #10 and then drop it. See Rain on Me and Bloody Mary. Both were big hits but both songs peaked at #10 on Pop radio and Top3 on HAC. This depends on the callout score me thinks. If the callout is good, radio will play it. too bad Interscope does not do radio payola for Gaga. iirc, ROM did not have a good callout and pulled out even before the VMAs performance. 1

I seen at least 15 songs in the past couple years Topping the POP radio with dead last callouts. Its not an excuse tbh.

Rain On Me had a big peak with the first week streaming numbers, but unfortunately, not good longevity. On the other hand, Bloody Mary was the opposite, more of a compiler hit, posting streams through the years, but not really a big peak. After all, BM peaked at #41 on the Hot 100, mostly radio driven. If anything, Bloody Mary was payolaed into the Top 10.
fridayteenage Posted August 24 Posted August 24 we need taste top 5 so sns can have three of those. In the SPS era, that would become the 8th female album with triple top 5s, and the 3rd not by Taylor Swift.

Bloody Mary showed great scores on callouts and it was #1 video streamed song of that year with over 1Billion US streams and pop radio barely send it to Top10. I dont think interscope would payola 12 year old song on the radio.

MTE. ABS hasn't been the most popular song in the country for like the past 3 weeks. Lower radio impact NOW Even if you lowered radio's impact, ABS was #1 on all 3 metrics in 2 of these past 3 weeks. Doesn't matter what formula you use, ABS was the most popular song in the country those weeks. 1 1
Green Posted August 24 Posted August 24 Radio Songs: 1= Shaboozey - A Bar Song (Tipsy) 106.17 -0.76 Maybe there's still hope for a Sabrina song to go #1 3
Domination Posted August 24 Posted August 24 Wait just realizing from looking at this Top 10 that popular music is kind of good again 2
Blackout2006 Posted August 24 Posted August 24 Three songs in the top 10 ooo, don't gag them like that Sabrina

That song literally #1 on Country radio, #1 on pop radio , #1 on HAC radio. There should be a limit tbh. How is it trashy? If this was a pop girl song yall would be eating it up Edited August 24 by dussymob 1 1

Iminmysluttyera Posted August 24 Posted August 24 I need Espresso to hit #1 !! Then eventually Taste for 3 #1s from the same album/ era
SleepingTigers Posted August 24 Posted August 24 Taste just passed espresso and PPP on Apple Music and is currently number 1. I imagine Spotify will be similar. 1

IBeMe Posted August 24 Posted August 24 i cant see the tweet in the op due to the server issues but if Espresso has anything cloe to a 50 point gap Sabrina should do something. Release a last minute remix, physical cds etc. She can easily score a second #1. But if the gap is too wide then no point tbh
