HMHAS was/is massive. Like Billie really did her big one with that album and I'm hoping she gets her due praise for it at the Grammys.

Considering you're a success stan I would've thought you'd change your avi to Billie during the HMHAS era? Confusing

Man, she needs to pull some tricks to get espresso to #1. It's been forever since we had an era with 3 #1 singles.

They're just trolling to troll. Her last album, emails, did 3 M debut streams. Meanwhile, Short n' Sweet is 9th biggest female debut week in history above the likes of Guts, CC, ES, and more). Saying she underperformed is such a chronically online take.

Anyways, I'm sure the album will start dropping more significantly now that release week is over so they can save their "underperforming" comments for when it's actually relevant.

Well it's because her annoying fans keep comparing her to Billie, Olivia, Ariana, even Taylor — gaslighting all of us into thinking she matches them as an MPG — when the reality is six albums later she only has one #1 song (which lasted all for a week) and (so far) no #1 albums. So she's actually closer to someone like Megan Trainor than any of the artists above. (And even if her album does hit #1 — so did Megan Trainor's I guess).

Not Megan Trainor :rip: Everything about Megan screamed flash in the pan and everyone could see it. She was not versatile as a persona and her personality was very cringe. Also she was not attractive and looks matter in pop…. The writing was on the wall

The industry is having difficulty launching new artists that stick around. Until Chappell Roan, Olivia was the last big new female pop artist and it had been almost four years. They are of course turning around and investing on talented people like Sabrina that were around but didn't have the extra push with a producing team, a good campaign and nice platforms to actually breakthrough. She's definitely sticking for a while, because not only she has shown to be quite versatile, they don't have much better talents to launch at this moment and invest. In any other era we would've had solid competition among very young pop girls and it was pretty much Billie and Olivia for almost half a decade. Hopefully in the coming years fresh and interesting talent show up and we have an interesting pop market again as far as competition goes

After Hours is still the most recent one, right?

she's set to get her third top 3 solo hit this week.

many careers don't have that yet.

The biggest difference between Sabrina and the other girls is longevity. That's really it. She doesn't have the proven longevity they do. Thats what keeps her at a distance from Billie and Olivia as true MPGs.

BUT as of right now SNS is on track to have a bigger debut sales week than any Olivia or Billie album. Its debut week also outstreamed all Olivia and Billie albums besides Sour (which was and will remain an untouchable behemoth by a non-Taylor artist) and HMHAS. She hasn't proved she's here to stay, but she's proved she can play in the deeper end of the pool, so I don't think it's crazy to start talking about her in the same conversation. My point was more that her being considered successful or not shouldn't hinge upon her peers success, particularly considering she spent 10 years in the khia asylum.

Yes, she's enjoying a great deal of success. But she also just came off opening for the Eras tour -- the biggest tour of all time

Yes she does, Espresso has peaked at 3…. and then PPP is obviously her #1. Taste will debut inside the top 3, then she will have 3.
