Popular Post HRHCOLLECTION Posted August 21 Popular Post Posted August 21 Surely all the butthurt people who complained about her not speaking up right after are hiding in shame for not having the mental capacity to understand how dangerous it would have been to speak up before the London shows 41 6
Popular Post PoisonedIvy Posted August 21 Popular Post Posted August 21 (edited) Very eloquent, rational, and insightful. As anyone with half a functioning iota of a brain cell could have told you, it was obvious she wanted to wait to address it once the European leg came to a close and the fans were all confirmed safe. Also the paragraph about her not wanting to speak up about anything that would endanger fans at her shows is pretty much a sign for me that she won't get too politically active this election cycle. And frankly that's for the best. Her US shows literally happen right around election season. There's no need to draw any sort of political discourse towards her shows, as it would only provoke extremists to retaliate. Edited August 21 by PoisonedIvy 43
Popular Post Sheep Posted August 21 Popular Post Posted August 21 (edited) god i wish her other haters could just be normal ******* people. Imagine being the target of a terrorist attack and having to make a flowery PR apology for being silent. Edited August 21 by Sheep 27 1
tiagol88 Posted August 21 Posted August 21 I kinda felt like she would comment at the end of the European tour tbh. Makes sense. 1

Popular Post P!NK2LOVE Posted August 21 Popular Post Posted August 21 THIS is why she's so huge. She CARES. 24 5
americanlife Posted August 21 Posted August 21 I am so glad she said something. Things got shaky and instead of grieving thousands of lives, we grieved concerts. 10
Spicy Pisces Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Quote we were grieving concerts and not lives Quote Let me be very clear: I am not going to speak about something publicly if I think doing so might provoke those who would want to harm the fans who come to my shows. In cases like this one, 'silence' is actually showing restraint, and waiting to express yourself at a time when it's right to. My priority was finishing our European tour safely, and it is with great relief that I can say we did that. 9 2
Popular Post on the line Posted August 21 Popular Post Posted August 21 Love seeing her callout the ******* losers who would not stop posting about Vienna in every single thread or post she or TaylorNation posted. I love being on the right side of herstory, again. 20 1

LewisK Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Actually a very mature and reasonable approach. Good done, Taylor. 4
Popular Post P!NK2LOVE Posted August 21 Popular Post Posted August 21 What also has become so abhorrently clear to me as I continue to age, is that people NEED things EXPLICITLY stated for them to believe the person. Like OF COURSE this is why she was silent. OF COURSE she felt fear. Yet some people don't take their foot off the pedal until she says something. NARCISSISTIC people tend to REFUSE to see reason, to READ the room. Expecting everyone to be as cruel as them. It's ridiculous. Everyone needs to learn some pro-social behaviours around here. It's ghastly. 9 14
Bloodflowers. Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Beautiful message let me give "Clara Bow" a stream really quick
ATRL Moderator MissedTheTrain Posted August 21 ATRL Moderator Posted August 21 Extremely well said. What a terrible situation, feeling the weight and guilt of having almost hosted an absolute tragedy and also feeling the guilt of having to cancel shows (not including Lover Fest, she's only cancelled one show in her entire career, in 2009) and wishing she could communicate that to people....while also feeling terrified for her own safety and her entire crew's safety going forward. She put it perfectly. 6 3

Gui Blackout Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Flawless statement. showing once how intelligent, mature and thoughtful she is. I can only imagine the whirlwind that she and the team went through dealing with the news and planning the safest path foward. So glad that they did and the London shows went on with no issues. And I'm glad she's (indirectly) sending the message regarding the election that she'll only speak when she feels like it's the right moment, and that she's putting her fan's safely first. 4

Peroxide Posted August 21 Posted August 21 This was an articulate, well worded response… and she's right. I also agree with @PoisonedIvy in that is more or less confirmation she's going to remain silent for the remainder of the election cycle… I'm actually pretty sure she has a show in a red state around the time of the election if I'm not mistaken. 5
Folklore89sm Posted August 21 Posted August 21 5 minutes ago, bielneira said: It took her long enough It took her one day. She was never going to break silence when doing so would be giving those a-holes the attention and airtime they wanted, and could have even spurred on like-minded demons with the same diabolical agenda to make sure they get the job done at the next shows before she left Europe. This was a clear, calm, and honest response.
Uncatena Posted August 21 Posted August 21 the annoying Vienna stans can finally stop making every single social media Taylor post about them, yay!
