ugo Posted August 21 Posted August 21 143 is performing even worst than smile so far and is starting to make witness look like a hit era. What should Katy do to save the era and more importantly her career ? 1 3
Popular Post Kern Posted August 21 Popular Post Posted August 21 learn finance, go to call center and then work her way up from there 2 1 17
MerveAksak Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Do a greatest hits tour, have an amazing VMAs vanguard performance, don't release anymore singles from this era and pretend it didn't happen Then focus on making a critically acclaimed album without a known abuser (this is the hard part for her) 2 4
ohjulia Posted August 21 Posted August 21 She had a really good chance of having a successful era but she screwed it all up by working with Dr. Luke. 2
abelfenty Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Nothing. Literally nothing. Sometimes you just have to accept your time in the limelight passed. She should just accept her time is up and go back to doing American Idol 7
Alaska. Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Join OF and post content, but really overplaying it and on the nose because she's about to get smashed, which is like a reset, a reset for her, and a reset for her idea of feminine divine, and it's a whole different world she goes to after that.
cartierdelrey Posted August 21 Posted August 21 She needs to adapt to today's consumer culture and understand what it demands from her music, image/brand, business, etc. 143 overall sounds like a a great concept, but the question is: is the project presented where it positions Perry as responsive to the market? It seems as if this era was designed to cash in on the nostalgia of her 2010 days and they fell short at appeasing this nostalgia and appealing to a newer younger audience. She can't rely solely on nostalgia to make her relevant in a newer context. Katy must find a way to reintroduce herself, while incorporating nostalgic elements and a promising brand. Admittedly, I've never appreciated Katy… her music, artistry, etc… it's not my taste. But there is a market and audience for her/she can meet the needs of. Katy and her team is not doing the due diligence to determine what path lies ahead of her and what chess moves that entails. It really doesn't matter if she's not as talented or multifaceted as her peers. I'd even argue, it'd make it easier for her to rebrand. She's practically bound to nothing. Everyone in the music business is a product, but not everyone is great at communicating why you should choose them over others. 2
Heldenzeit Posted August 21 Posted August 21 what can you do to get the obsession out of your head? 1 1
Monsieurgedeon Posted August 21 Posted August 21 I would personally suggest to address the elephant in the room or at least acknowledge Kesha in a way or another. The way the katyrats have chosen to defend her by attacking another woman victim of SA is really sick. As suggested by others I would also refocus the promo on the greatest hits tour and VMA performance vs on the album which is destined to fail. I would try to work on my girl's girl reputation. Seeing how Charly XCX and Lorde handled their differences and uplifting each other way more interesting than Bad Blood/Swish Swish combined. Nobody is here for this kind of feud anymore. finally, I would just use all my resources to try to reconnect to my artistry, travel the world, create ne connections with different types of musician and just try to understand what is her point of view. 4
Nazareth Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Here's what I'd do as her manager. - Record a new more mature sounding Pop album - Hire a new creative team focusing less on making her look like a gimmick but a serious artist, every detail would need to be on point - Get her to collaborate with talented musicians - Book performances at the biggest festival stages to win back live audiences - Collaborate with a big brand like adidas on a product like trainers or gymware - Get her to attend all the award shows, including irrelevant ones like Billboard and AMAs and buy honouree awards like the MTV vanguard award - Make a documentary about her comeback - GH tour focusing on the strongest markets 1
josesuxx Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Apologize publicly to Kesha and everyone Dr Luke has abused. And then retire 3 1
SharGaga Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Start a bra line and get those big balloons out. She can become successful like Rihanna with an annual bra show and retire quietly. 3
єѕℓαм Posted August 21 Posted August 21 She'll never see success in her music career ever again and she did it all by/to herself 3
Celineendedyourfaves Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Collaborate with Bruno Mars. It's what's working for legacy acts these days 1 3 20

Shimenawa Posted August 21 Posted August 21 This was her last chance i think. 3 flop albums in a row. How do you recover from that
