Bosque Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 So glad I missed whatever this "controversy" is supposed to be 1
Spicy Pisces Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 These keyboard warriors are being low-key misogynistic. The woman being criticized for not being calm and collected after portraying a victim, when her PR approach is seeing her character as more than a victim. A victim is still a person. Whereas the man is praised for being serious. His role is of the abuser so ofc he shouldn't deviate. I understand her delivery may be off putting but I see her overly excited, clearly it's been a while since she had a movie come out. Her public dynamic with Ryan is the core issue lol. 8
Broken Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 Oh no, Tiktok and Twitter . Meanwhile in the real world: Box Office #1) Blake Lively's Deadpool & Wolverine: $54.M #2) Blake Lively's It Ends with Us: $50M 1 hour ago, Bosque said: So glad I missed whatever this "controversy" is supposed to be This. 3 1
MattieB Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 I have two thoughts on this 1. Her statements during the press tour were abysmal and tone deaf, it was giving "Im just here for the check" 2. Any of yall realize that the internet is casually mean now, like people are waiting on edge to pounce on the meat of the week, its so weird 8
thatsmydemi Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 I thought everyone liked her. What happened? Or maybe they just like her when she attends the MET gala?
glitch Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 What's actually cringe is people thinking this random film will solve domestic violence and abusive relationships. This is not some hard hitting social commentary. The lead actors are Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni ffs. It's like complaining the actors doing Hangover didn't talk about the long lasting effects of alcohol abuse on a press tour. 3

Exactly lol. People are going to see this film because they think Justin and Blake are hot. Neither of them are serious actors, he needs to stop being so pretentious 3

I cannot stand this self righteous witch and her cheating husband! Justice for Alanis. @Reverse Warholian The fact that she said she didn't know it was a plantation, meanwhile the venue's name literally had "plantation" in it 2
BOOMBAYAH Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 Blake seems like she belongs to the same strand of annoying and fake feminism as Taylor Swift. 11 1 1 1 6
shyboi Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 Gays are somehow always behind this collective dragging of women 2
liquiddiamonds Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 (edited) Blake's an airhead. Always been. That's how she does in press tours regardless of the type of movie. She's trying to make women her age go out and watch it and it seems like it worked. They even put a Taylor song in the trailer lol It's so targeted Edited August 14, 2024 by liquiddiamonds 1
crymelanie Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 Never ever liked her and her acting looks bizarre she lacks TALENT 2
OrgVisual Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 About time that people have enough of white mediocre and how they love to insert their power over everyone else It's absolutely ridiculous how only Blake name appeared on the revised movie poster

Just my opinion. I thought he hired them because of the bad movie PR, not for himself? Atleast that's what i read. 1
usersanchez Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 (edited) Good! This shows that being married to a superhero, being a fashion "icon," or being a pop star's best friend doesn't excuse you from public scrutiny. The lesson here is that even though women are often underpaid and undervalued, among other horrible things; Some women in power can also be vile, and that has nothing to do with gender. (Like in this case; Blake Lively) She is known for being difficult, yet she often gets a pass because of her elitist status. &…. Y'all need to stop using the word "misogynist" to defend women who are genuinely awful, because doing so devalues the seriousness of actual cases of misogyny. Fans will try and use anything to excuse this vile human being for being tone-deaf by promoting her brand through a film about domestic violence. Edited August 14, 2024 by usersanchez Grammar 7 3

Sabrina Carpenter Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 hate to see her whacked since i've loved her since Gossip Girl but she does seem out of touch
Mr. Peanutbutter Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 This nontroversy. People are really doing the most trying to find reasons to cancel women
Digitalism Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 (edited) I know blake and ryan have big PR people behind them. So now that they are comming for her they are probably going to say what the director did behind the scenes. Unless there's an NDA Edited August 14, 2024 by Digitalism
