Xtripped Posted August 13 Posted August 13 Dido From Here With Me to Life for Rent (single) Idk what happened with her career, she was BiG BIG, like Adele but suddenly nothing.
PoisonPill Posted August 13 Posted August 13 (edited) How are we defining pop star? If it's anyone who had a pop hit, then there's infinity options. If it's established A-list pop stars, then it's probably Ashlee Simpson. Her debut album did 400k opening week, went 3x platinum, had a #1 radio smash, and within three months her career was basically over (post-SNL). Also Iggy Azalea was the breakthrough artist of 2014 with the song of the summer, and was commercially done by the next year. Edited August 13 by PoisonPill

This is the best answer. Tbh it was pretty much over by early 2005 after the SNL fiasco and then the Orange Bowl.

igotitbad Posted August 15 Posted August 15 (edited) Dev Neon Hitch Sabi Natalia Kills Kristina DeBarge Natalie La Rose Edited August 15 by igotitbad Misspelled Natalie
ninetales Posted August 15 Posted August 15 Mandy Moore (music career) Jesicca Simpson Camilla Cabello Vanessa Carlton Fergie They had atleast one successful era then fell off the map so fast ala Willow (1-37)
Conker Posted August 15 Posted August 15 One more worth mentioning. Orianthi. Her 2009 album was fantastic, and she even worked with Michael Jackson, right before he died. Unfortunately, after her debut album she pretty much, became a non-entity and disappeared. Her 2022 album isn't even worth mentioning. 1
Navyboy20 Posted August 15 Posted August 15 Alessia Cara immediately comes to mind. Was everywhere then no where.
Alldeezy Posted August 16 Posted August 16 honestly my fave. He still makes music sure but it's weird how Love Like Woe & Killer really took off then after that nobody knows he has like 4 other albums it's fine means I can Gatekeep his cute butt if talking only pop girls then Alexis Jordan, Cassie, Fergie, Keri Hilson, Ashlee Simpson (tho all her music still amazing)

It would have to be a true one or two hit wonder, like Katy Perry. Katy Perry has NINE number 1 and FOURTEEN top 10 hits. I know it's cute to hate on her now but why are some people here refusing to use their brains? This kind of trolling isn't even funny, it's just embarrassing.

Except they're still relevant and iconic to this day The best way to quantify this concept of their time is TLC took a hiatus between CrazySexyCool and FanMail. During their hiatus, the spice girls became super famous and then were over by the time "No Scrubs" was released….
BlueBlue Posted August 17 Posted August 17 (edited) At first I thought Nelly Furtado but before Loose she had hits. Another one thought Fergie but we should give her credit for BEP (Double Dutchess deserved better. One of my favorite albums of all time) also both are faces of 2000-2010 era I think Iggy Azalea. She was over pretty fast Edited August 17 by BlueBlue
