Seduce Orlando and run away with the money.

It's easier and more plausible than the OP's objective, I'm not Jesus.

Abandon this current album. Make an album full of songs that sound like this but with more maturity.

the way chapell is smashing with this same sound:deadbanana4:

Apologize for Dr Luke.

Stop being cringe.

Go back to old days, and no I dont mean TD. Rockish pop influenced songs like OOTB.

Imagine thinking Katy cares about her career. She needs a folklore moment not nostalgia bait.

I'd call her a flop and decline

I'm tempted to answer,  because this is a question I've been asking to myself a lot (not only katy-wise) but I'm not sure I should answer here cause I fear my ideas are too good and specific  that I want to tell her in person HAHAHAH

tbh she's just missing Bonnie but i'd recruit Max & Cirkut/Savan/Ilya as well

Apologize and take down every song she had with L*ke in 143.

Write or hire someone competent to write some mature deep and true-to-life songs about family and mothership.

debut this album with minimum promo and natural image, let it speak for itself.

Just like her team has been doing for years, I would do nothing and run away with the money :ryan3:

I think the damage is done but an UNDENIABLE power pop ballad might do something for her. She needs a "Who Knew", a "Because of You". Or (more far fetched) a "Don't Speak". Put it on a movie soundtrack and maybe it will pop. This sound is what she should be chasing anyway, I don't know why she's been walking in and out of the EDM / dance lane for 8 years. Like yeah it got you those 800 vinyl sales in Brazil, now what?

So yeah big pop ballad. She's damaged her clout so much that nothing else could work. She doesn't even have the option of dusting off her guitar and picking up where Thinking Of You left off, it won't work after "sexy confiDENT, so intelliGENT". Even Ed Sheeran couldn't pull off the revert move after his collab sell-out era and he actually had an established reputation as a singer-songwriter. A big pop ballad is all there is left

If I was with Capitol Records, and this album underperformed, here's what I'd do: debut 143, consider delaying the tour. Then, during an awards show performance, drop hints about a singer-songwriter-pop album sometime in Q3 2025. If that one does well, go ahead with a tour featuring both the new album and 143.

If they're still committed to 143 and have additional music that appeals more to listeners, a Taylor-Swift-style Midnights 3AM streaming only version of the album could spark so much drama—especially if it dropped right around the time Reputation (Taylor's Version) came out. Might as well milk it but Capitol probably wouldn't do that lol. but I would.

I'd definitely reach out to Zedd. He gave love to NRO even after the Woman's World fallout (he posted it on his IG story a week after WW came out), so maybe he's still game to work with Katy. I'd consider dropping a Smile-style droplet single (NRO 2.0) to see if people really want an acoustic or pop sound from Katy, or if they're completely done with her. Basically, testing the waters before committing to a whole album.

Whoever she chooses to collaborate with, I'm a bit skeptical about the "just call up Dan Nigro/Max Martin/etc." approach. Those guys are probably getting hit up by everyone. The key here is to avoid making songs that feel overly TikTok-ified. Listeners don't want that from her. But if she can snag someone super hot like Dan Nigro, then yeah, go for it.

If this album turns out to be a massive flop, they could still move forward with the tour and make a documentary (filmed while on tour) covering everything. This would give her a chance to address the situation, rebuild her image, and introduce fans to new music.

Didn't she already try the big ballad comeback with Daisies?

I would make her the biggest OnlyFans creator and sell her catalogue for a couple of millions. I would recommend her to get Orlando into gay p0rn.

Cut her hair and make her go blonde again

Just in case my rebrand flops and I need something to blame

At this point her career is beyond over comercially speaking, maybe she can try rebranding as a more serious artist with songs like Cup Of Coffee, TOY etc.. and get some acclaim

It'd be a waste of money on her part however there is always a sliver chance of luck for her to pull a Cher. But it's 99.9% unlikely.

I also don't know who wants an acoustic singer-songwriter album from... Katy Perry :rip: That's gonna perform even worse than her last streak of bombs, and probably critically panned as well if "sexy confident" is the best songwriting she has to offer at this point. She does NOT have the songwriting chops for it and nobody would check for that except for the 4 or 5 OOTB stans left. All she had to do was take advantage of Dua leaving her FN writing camps and book some sessions with them, secure some Max Martin, Ian Kirkpatrick and Stuart Price scraps for good measure and stay away from people with court records. She could've easily nailed this diva dance album she's desperately trying to sell if she only had the right people and marketing approach (and common sense) for it. But alas, she seems to enjoy inviting lashings and pannings to herself instead.

Sell her pre-Witness publishing rights to Hipgnosis and tell her to retire.

Would probably have her take guitar lessons again and then to play some acoustic versions of her demos. Image wise she'd have a more simple and relaxed look instead of extravagant. Maybe that way she can (re)build her fanbase. Using some budget for TikTok to have some popular / semi-popular users there to promote her reels of herself playing on guitar and singing snippets of songs from an upcoming acoustic / stripped down album.
