Kiss It Better Posted August 10 Posted August 10 if anything tuesdays makes no sense, just like award shows and events alike being midweek like vmas this year 12
Popular Post aotwbys Posted August 10 Popular Post Posted August 10 Music execs want people to connect new music with crap Wednesdays instead of fun Fridays No wonder they can't launch legit superstars smh 25 3 3
Popular Post Lament Posted August 10 Popular Post Posted August 10 Fridays are amazing. They're kind of a reward after a hard-working week. Tuesdays don't make any sense, no one has time to check for music releases in the middle of the week? 110 8 1
Popular Post OrgVisual Posted August 10 Popular Post Posted August 10 Why not Monday then? But then Beyonce's impact is so real. The way she changed the entire way the industry worked 38

Just a Gay on ATRL Posted August 10 Posted August 10 I get it honestly - I listen to the most music while I'm working on weekdays. They should make it Monday to start the week off with new music. This would be a hot mess with Billboard's tracking week, though lol 12 2

But no one is gonna lose sleep by scrolling an extra minute on streaming services to check new releases.
family.guy123 Posted August 10 Posted August 10 The same execs that trap young women artists into unfair contracts? No thanks. 3

Jon Snow Posted August 10 Posted August 10 i'm pretty sure if they moved it back to Tuesday they'd have the same problem
Jack! Posted August 10 Posted August 10 Release day in the UK used to be a Monday and I used to think that made the most sense. 5
Solaria Posted August 10 Posted August 10 Doesn't it… make more sense to release music during the week's end when people are from off from work… when they have more time to listen to new releases? 5

Music has been released on Fridays for at least 10 years now and we supposedly don't have superstars anymore. All the artists you guys consider superstars used to release midweek. So what's the truth? 5 3 3 1

So what's the truth? I was roasting the music exec mindset, like this outdated thinking is how you end up with a failed music industry. For real, most people consider the Billboard charts and Grammys irrelevant. Nothing against Tay Tay, who's a total superstar. These execs need fresher ideas to engage today's listeners. I could totally see them switching to Tuesdays and still nobody gaf about the music they want to push. This is just nostalgia-driven thinking tbh. 1
